This really has no relationship to the "future success" of the line.

Green Arrow sales stemmed from fans, collectors, dealers, scalpers, other retailers buying MULTIPLES off the web site, and then, many probably went back and ordered even more. Dr. MEGO himself ordered over 200.

For the line to realize ongoing success similar to Green Arrows, then everyone who purchased multiples will also have to buy multiples of all the other characters too.

My poor math and attention skills?

I just pulled that number out of my b-hind, thinking he had gotten something close to that. 60 sounds much more reasonable, and accurate.

I beg to differ. People who bought from mattycollector actively went there knowing it was there. These people will most likely buy multiples of wave 1 as well. Plus, once wave 1 hits TRU people who have no idea about these will suddenly be confronted with them as well and might buy them too. These impulsive buys will be very important.

Every toy buy is an impulse buy - except maybe a Wii or X Box system.

                      Sold Out

I am curious if anyone knows the numbers? How many were sold? I am guessing the number is at least one thousand. I would be floored if it was ten thousand or greater.

I agree Thomas.........I never bought any thing from Matty before GA....I went there for him. When people see new 8 inch clothed figures on a store peg....they will definitely stand out from regular painted plastic ones.....I have always been a 12 inch GI-joe and Mego fan....when joe got shrunk down and all paint I loved the characters.....appreciated the detail on them but didn't want to get them. My 7 year old son loves action figures too but covets my 12 inch joe's and knows his new GA is different from regular figures and special. He has become very protective of him, taking care not to damage it as he plays with him....his regular figures get banged around pretty good(not destructively) when he plays.
These new figures should become great as well
