    New fixed Green Arrow thread

    I did some minor modification.

dark pictures, but you get the idea...

    bow and arrows

    arrow "tips"

The bow has thread strung like a real bow. The bow is excellent at shooting real far. I barely pulled back on the string and it shot all the way across the room. I thought it would go about two feet. It really shoots far. No elastic or anything stretchy. Just green thread.

Love what you did with the bow and arrows, and the stitching looks great as well. Though if I were you, I would switch out that body and the boots, both of which I find are the figure's biggest issues. Really looking good though man.

Just a heads up on stringing GA's bow. My original GA's bow string broke many years ago when I was 12 or 13 so I strung it with thread. I pulled him out of his box one day and his bow had snapped in half right in the middle of the hand grip area. I suspect this was due to the tension caused by the thread I strung it with. I don't know how different the plastic is that's used for the Mattel or other repro bows but you might want to consider this when restringing your bows.

I put no tension on the the thread. Also the plastic is very soft so it bends and won't break.

Cool! How did you make the extra arrow?

The arrows were made using the boxing glove and the tip that held it on to the old arrow. I cut the shaft from a medical cotton swab, so it is wood. The 'feathers' are made from plastic. Then painted green.
