Mine finally arrived. All in all, not a bad little figure...I don't appear to be having the standing problems some others folks are. I bought a few and some are very bow-legged but the one I opened actually stands pretty good. Arms seem to move ok too, but swivel arms ala Castaway would have been a major improvement.
It looks like the material for the leggings may have a tendency to snag....
I LOVE that his hat stays on! And the equipment looks like an all-around upgrade of better, more malleable plastic.
The packaging.....Ugggh. I KNEW I probably wasn't going to display mine sealed, but the warped card definitely "un-sealed" the deal....
I think the warping comes from them cramming it into a snug outter Matty box moreso than actual design. Of course if was a traditional WGSH size card, this wouldn't have been an issue.
And yes, the card CAN be WGSH size/Castaway clamshell size AND keep all of the modern copyright/safety verbage as well....
I also boxed him, but I think I prefer the card this time around....
