Doc says more Star Trek in 2010 - what do you want?

I watched all the episodes of the cartoon and noticed the Klingon on the
show looked just like the MEGO Klingon.

Marty says that they licensed Star Trek because the old show was in
syndication - but for a toy company the new Saturday morning cartoon
on NBC - was a better bet than reruns on independent stations shown
in a variety of afternoon/early evening time slots.

Now I'm not saying he is wrong or mis-remembering. He might have
gone into the meeting thinking old live-action show, and Paramount
may have been thinking new network cartoon. They both are called
Star Trek with much of the same characters. Paramount may have
sent artwork to MEGO based on the cartoon so the Klingon was
made using that style sheet.

The Enterprise crew members all have really wide collars on them. That is what they look like in the cartoon and not the live action show. And it seems like they had a description of a Cheron and not a picture. Half black and half white. The aliens they made are all wrong like they had no artwork. Except for the Klingon and Romulan and Andorian. Mugato has a good head sculpt, but not much else is original looking.

I'd like to see the red movie uniforms, and the movie Klingon. And Saavik.

I'd prefer the ST-TMP uniforms, but I know they're not as popular as the red uniforms.
