    Matty Green Arrow changing appearance?

I don't know if I am jumping the gun here a bit. I got this picture off a toy collectors site on Myspace named "MEGOMAN"

It is a picture of the Matty exclusive Green Arrow.

Is it just me or did his colors change from what we have been seeing and do his legs look a little crooked?

Gee, I wonder who's site that was on myspace. But yes, his gloves changed from black to green.

I got it from here in the forum. Go to the thread called "New Green Arrow in the Archives Of Action Figure Insider". There's a link in the first comment. No idea on why the legs are as they are. It makes sense when I think of the words Mattel and He-man.

He's been trapped in that bubble so long he needs to pee.

They bend like that because their made like SuperJoe's legs in the late 70's. Hopefully the figures coming out in the Spring will not have that issue. Upon initial glance, it almost looks like the right leg is broken, even though we all know it's just the joint flexing. Of course, then you have to ask yourself, "How much stress is that joint taking to hold that pose?" Will it weaken and break like the Hasbro Mr. Fantastic arm did when it was packaged inproperly? Time will tell.

As long as I can put them on doc mego bodies, I can live with it.
as soon as I saw the hands, I knew the bodies had to go...
                    Cheers,

Dr. Mego already said the heads will not be interchangeable like Mego. The bodies are too tightly glued together.

As to the color change that is because the one we had all been looking at from the toy show was just a prototype.

The Pic in the beginning of this thread has me very excited now with the New Mattel Retro Figures. I love the way the Green Arrow looks on the card. The clunkyness of how the figure looks really makes me happy. This clunkyness , to me is the charm of Mego from the beginning...I love it!

I totally agree! In this market of hyper-realistic, super-articulated figures, it is so refreshing to see a (pardon the expression) dumbed-down, simplistic, colorful toy.

I miss the days when comics were on newsprint and cost 20 cents, and Megos filled my toybox. These are a breath of fresh air in an overcomplicated world.
