      Hmmmm....

I don't think the Mego style would appeal to folks like redesigns would. Not the EXACT style, anyhoo. A lot of the earlier superheroes looked too much alike. (Like Tarzan, Superman, and Aquaman.) People would want them more distinct. (Maybe. The figures based on the cartoon designs seem to sell pretty good....)

Personally, I'm not fussy either way. I've always sought the best representation of any given character and if a new sculpt does the trick, so be it. (If not I can always customize them myself. Same as I do with origional figures.)

Agreed, the originals should be left alone. Keep them classic always.

            Politics or Toys?

The Apes are probably closest to finding and old friend again long gone on the shelf. Those DC characters have so much legal mumbo jumbo whatever comes this way is great.

Can someone explain to me why there isn't more of a blackmarket on these kind of things? I would think someone would be able to produce the old stuff again and just sell it online can it Captain Freedom or Heroman. :-)

It would only be a matter of time before the DC and Marvel lawyers would find you
Just ask Doc Mego, he tried and eventually got a C&D letter

That always cheesed me off. But, what's done is done.

I'd rather see new ones myself; the vintage ones, while they are dear to me, belong in the past.

That doesn't mean that I don't love them, cheesy as they were.

But I'd like to see some new concepts for the line.

Namely Catwoman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Hawkgirl (which was never made), the Huntress (ditto), and a lot of the other super heroines.

I'd like to see a Cassandra Cain type Batgirl, with a complete cowl, black suit, cape, and a better utility belt.

And for God's sakes, please do NOT put Catwoman in that awful purple thing she wore with the blue boots! And let's not get into the fakey-fake tail!

I'd like to see her as she started out in her series, with the curly black hair, green eyes, and purple outfit with black boots, a removable cowl, and claws.

We also need a Secret Identities Line. Selina Kyle, Cassandra Cain, Princess Diana, Shayera Hall, etc.

I believe Doc said they cannot use any of the original head sculpts which is why Superman and Green Arrow had to be tweaked. That's fine by me.

Hopefully they'll reissue the Titans figures. I would kill to have to original set I used to have when I was a kid.

I have 150 figures and counting and no Kid Flash, Speedy, Aqualad and Wonder Girl.

Leave antiques be antiques. The new updated ones will only increase awareness of the old ones. The old ones are from our childhood. Why ruin their antiquity value? I've seen this over and over. It is the whole supply/demand thing. The only thing that might save the knights is the lack of quality of the replicas. I like the strong attempt to push the 8" format back in but leave our relics alone. That is and always has been my stand on the subject.

No - No - No ! A thousand times NO !!! As someone mentioned, it's already tough enough dodging repro parts on WGSH figures from ebay sellers; let's not encourage anything that produces more repro parts! In fact, now that there's a modern alternative, let's stop repro part production altogether !

As far as wanting the classic figures that you were never able to get, well, buy them on the secondary market, or be satisfied with the new line.
