      Dr. Mego is a psychic

I just want my damn Green Arrow doll!

Seriously, what is so odd about this.....

This is a ironic story about Green Arrow.

When I "got back" into the Mego world probably about in 2005. I found Dr. Mego's website years early and this time I asked Dr. Mego aka Mr. Paul Clarke, if he'd make a repo Green Arrow doll (this is when he was doing it without getting his hand slapped). I got sick of losing out on eBay to the real deal and Dr. Mego was cool enough to do it for a good forty clams.

I used to have all the super hero megos when I was a kid. Unfortunately they did not stand the test of time and when I met this evil woman that I dated and moved in with, she made me sell the remaining scraps of megos for money. After I did that, I felt guilt ridden and knew I'd be back.

I guess I just wanted to start with a Green Arrow Mego (Repo or not) because I love Green Arrow and wanted just to put him on my desk and I didn't plan on ordering or making any more megos.

My daughter who was about five or six at the time came into my office and looked the Green Arrow repo and said, "That is so cool....can you get more?"

That Green Arrow repo was the start of her custom addiction.

(I started to make my own years later) but it became an obession trying to create characters from the opinions of my daughter.

Well, my daughter isn't a normal kid. Instead of reading bedtime stories to her, she preferred comic books. All Star Squadron and Defenders were her favorite. I know, that is twisted. but that would explain her knowledge to super heroes.

What is so odd about it. They are bringing these figures back and Green Arrow is the first one they are offering as an "exclusive" and I found it odd because Green Arrow was the first repo figure that Paul Clark made for us that got me to come back to the Mego world.

Like me or not, it is just uncanny how I got here because of that character. I doubt Paul would remember because he probably designed a gazillion characters back then before he got his hand slapped.
