EMCE and generic lines poll/input

The Mad Clown thread in Buzz got me thinking ......
So far anything we've seen from EMCE has been licensed properties.
Not a bad thing --- on the contrary it's been SMASHING ...
But it got me wondering if EMCE might someday expand into some generic lines.
A few generic lines might not sell as well as licensed properties but they may be beneficial to us and EMCE in different ways.

So my pretend poll is,
What EMCE generic lines would you like to see ?

I'll start ...

I'd like to see an extention on the American Western line with a few particular characters ....
General Custer -- I want an American Cavalry Officer in blue badly, so Custer would be the logical choice.
I would also like to see a bad guy ... I know it might not be PC to do an action figure of a REAL MURDER so perhaps a generic baddy in the Sam Cobra style.
INDIANS !!! ... we can never have enough Indians ... Perhaps Crazy Horse and a generic brave.
Lastly, we need a female in the line ... I really can't think of one in particular at this time (Annie Oakley would be too modern) ... Perhaps a squaw or town woman like Miss Kitty.
A Mexican bandito ... No Western line would be complete without one.

So,
My question is,
If EMCE did a generic line, what would you like to see ?

Aliens and astronauts. Astronauts in funky retro 60/70s style spacesuits and aliens would wicked cool. Major Matt Mason and the Outer Space Men meet Mego type of thing. Lots of possibilities with that and there's really nothing like it out there right now.

I'd like to see something like Big Jim P*A*C*K* figures. Generic adventurers with cool features and accessories.

I'd like to see the Knights line expanded. Throw some Vikings in a line too.

For the King Arthur line, I'd like to see a Guinevere, Morgan Le Fey, Morgause (no, they are NOT the same person), Isault and Ygraine.

For the Robin Hood line, I'd like to see a Maid Marian.

For the Western Line: Calamity Jane and Belle Starr.

For Pirates: Anne Bonnie.

For stuff in a more generic line, I'd like to see more outfits to choose from; civilian, military, sports, formal, etc.

More weapons would be cool; better swords, pistols, knives, blasters, etc.

Better playsets like pirate ships, WWII bunkers, etc.

I'd REALLY love to see X-wings and Battlestar Galactica Vipers in 1:9 scale, where you could actually PUT the figure into it!

Vehicles! Motorbikes, cars, vans, jeeps, tanks.

Did I miss anything?

That would be great to see Major Matt Mason return! But I doubt Mattel would let anyone do it. And action Jackson too.

That has MY vote... as someone who had ALL of the Major Matt Mason & colorforms Aliens stuff back in the 60's, I'd snap up Mego-like versions of them in a heartbeat!

I like the Space idea, do like some Mars mission type things, with real Martians for the astronauts to find

Good Suggestions, the important idea here. We need more Female figures to vary our collections and have more custom fodder! I also like the idea of more playsets and vehicles.

I get the feeling Doc isn't interested in generic stuff. To sell them he'd have to get into TRU or Target, since I doubt the typical comic store patron won't buy unliscensed generic stuff. CTVT already showed this type of stuff won't work in the direct market.

I'd like to see EMCE's take on the classic monsters - Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Mummy - as I think they're all public domain. Sure, the Universal versions licenses might be tough, as well as getting actor likeness licenses, but EMCE could change it up and do the literary versions (Dracula with a mustache!). Kids like monsters, so do adults.

The astronaut and aliens ideas are great, too!

Otherwise, I'd like to see EMCE's take on an Action Jackson type of toy. You get generic figures of different ethnic backgrounds, then you sell suits and equipment separately. Life-like Mod Hair would be optional.

The only problem with EMCE doing Action Jackson is real Mego Action Jacksons are a dime a dozen ... I find it very hard to believe anyone would buy repro's of them if EMCE made them.
