    price - CTVT
    quality - EMCE
quantity - CTVT (number of characters and accessories)
significance -EMCE (characters that are licensed / loved)
new stuff - tie (figures of characters not offered by mego - EMCE has better ones, CTVT has more)
community - EMCE b/c of Doc's pioneering/importance in the repro world and Abrams and Mattel it strikes a chord in the small community and mattel's and diamonds role it reaches the larger community

So the edge goes to MC but I think many of us in the community are too quick to bash CTVT who did provide a TON of repro figures and accessories.

Emce / Doc is best option. If you switch the bodies on the CTVT figures like stated above you can enjoy the CTVT figures longer. Hands down Emce is the best out there !

That is very true. Anyways It seems their strength and energy is focused more on the Wrestling Merchandise and Replica Belts than anything else they ever produce. It's a shame and they had a lot of potential.

Well I was going to offer a perspective, but quite frankly Doc Mego laid all other points to rest. I didn't know any of what he stated about CTVT and that really says it all.

It really does. You can always count on Paul to clarify all things related to remego. It really clears up all the info for you.

                  EMCE rules!!

                  EMCE!!!!

That's BETTER than all CTVT bodies crap!

Mike were right about EMCE and CTVT in his Thread information.

The CTVT bodies still ran too tight, can't spread the legs normal...... That in very poor shape of the bodies and in very poor paint job on the rubber heads - too soft and peeling off the paint in few months later.....

The CTVT costumes and accessories are good to very good overall.

Also, good for the customs and Dr.Mego repro Mego bodies.

at least Happy days got attention from Happy days fans and it was an original Mego line. Married with children seems like an odd toy choice even now
Space 1999 was probably the smartest foray (ok it's technically a uk palitoy line not mego who lost to mattel in the us).

I think the worst thing about doing the Space 1999 revival and extention was there really isn't all that much of a market for them.

Yes, we collectors and sci fi fans like the show --- but in the general population, it's a relatively unknown 70's show that is probably best know for it's season-1 theme song more then anything else.

Also, doing the line and not making Martin Landau and Barbara Bain was just foolish.
It would be like doing a Happy Days line and not making Fonzie and Ritchie.

That's the reason I didn't collect them! It's like Star Trek without Kirk!?

Taking a poll of what you like better EMCE or CTVT in a forum called EMCE is like asking people if they like the Whopper or the Bic Mac better while in a Burger King.

Thats an interesting point, so the bodies were crap, but what about the rest, costume and head, U can pickup the whole range of space 1999 figures for a $100, would it be worth investing, and then getting emce bodies?

                              The bodies were crap ...

Heads are slighty too small for a Mego body (slightly) -- So you can't even upgrade to Mego bodies without the figure looking a little weird.

I tried to put my Tony head on a Mego body ...
The head flopped around and just looked too small and funny.

Absolutely... that's what I did... and if you need the extra arm articulation for certain figures (that EMCE doesn't provide), you can always go the Castaway route for those...
