Hopefully Mattel has enough insight to do some commercials for this new incarnation of Worlds Greatest Superhero. (At least if they are going to be marketed to children of course). I know when the new Evel Knievel toys came out, there were no commercials but I knew about them (obviously because I'm a collector and knew they were out). But most friends of my kids had no idea about them until they were over at our house and became and instant hit. And these were marketed more toward collectors.
Not everyone is looking in the areas in which we look and may not know, even though their kids would like them. Publicity is very key to this kind of stuff. When a kid says, I want that, Mommy and Daddy go find it for them. Remember those old Mego commercials? I sure do. They got me wanting them and wanting more when I had some.
I know Marty is a mastermind when it comes to promotion, so I hope he weighs in on it and they take his advice.
