Was going to pass on Superman and Green Arrow until I saw the pics. Now it looks like I've got to get all of these. I'm hoping either Superman or Lex comes with a piece of Kryptonite.

You didn't bring a camera? YOU DIDN'T BRING A CAMERA?????!!!!

Well, at least people will be spared my ****ty paint job.

Never got to my nap, cuz i realized there are a few things I forgot:

first off: yes, the toys are 8".

second, i can't believe i didn't thank the following people for making this happen, in no particular order:

Dave Voss, Scott Neitlich and Steed Sun from Mattel
Ken and Marty Abrams, our extended toy family
and last but not least, the person who has made this entire process fun, easy, informative and hard to believe it's a job:

        THANK YOU BILL BENECKE!!!!!!!

Without a doubt this will probably be the most people thread at the Mego Museum EVER!

I need them all! I wonder if they will have vintage style packaging or not?! (sorry if that was covered)

Wow, they look even better than I thought! Agree with Mike that Superman has a nice SF feel to him, very appropriate!!!

GL is such a great choice. I know I'll buy a dozen and make a Green Lantern Corp!

I'm just afraid that this is all a wonderful dream and soon I'm going to wake up to reality.

                        Thank You and Congratulations!

Way to go Paul and Joe! You have realized the dream, bringing Mego's back to retail store shelves in a HUGE way. Toys R Us, WGSH, and Mattel (who in reality was one of only two real options to take the mantel from Mego).

My questions, which I suspect will be answered soon enough are:

Will the name MEGO be on the packaging? it seems clear that World's Greatest Super Heroes will be, but is Mattel going to utilize the one of the old Mego logos for that truly vintage look?

To clarify, since you used Doc Mego bodies for a couple of the prototypes, is it safe to assume that the heads are 100 percent interchangeable with Mego bodies? (I guess the outfits might not fit so well since the torso is longer)

Will the packages be clamshelled? plastic bubbles sealed to the cardboard?

Is there any possibility of Mattel bodies and parts being sold separately for parts, replacements, customizing, etc?

                        Wow.

5 years ago, this was one of those WHAT IF? conversations. Now the WHAT IF? is whether Hasbro and Marvel will step up to the plate and join the 8 inch revolution!

                        Long Live Mego!!!

Anyway to get some new TV commercials to promote these so kids want them going into the toystore?

MAJOR Kudos Joe, Paul, Dave and anyone else I missed as I skimmed this 20 some pages.

Is this thread unprecidented at nearly 4,000 views in under a day??

Holy crap, and coming from the art background, the backer cards sound equally freaking amazing!!!!!!
