My Major Problem With Emce Trek Stuff

Finished up buying the EMCE Enterprise crewmembers this week, so now I'm ready for some more!

It's a shame EMCE didn't the NEW Trek Movie Figures. Because with James Brady sculpting them...we know we would have some EXCELLENT likeness's!

I would have bought a full crew of 4" figures, but they simply look like generic faces. Totally turned me off.

I too am happy with the delay. I am behind and I need time to catch up. When it comes to EMCE, I plan to "Collect Them All". Not to mention Cast-A-Way, and other Mego related stuff I want.

The new movie was packaged as a separate entity from all the
other Star Trek properties - which Diamond Select Toys, not me -
has the rights to.

Playmates won the license for the new movie, but they cannot
do anything else in the Trekverse.

Do Diamond's rights for 8" figures extend past the Classic line to any of the OTHER Trek TV series??

James Brady's talent is too good to waste on a passing fancy... which could be ANY current movie.

The whole idea of EMCE (for us) is us getting Mego's we wish were made back in the day... and so far they've been pulling that off nicely.

Judging from the toys they released for the new movie, that's a blessing....

Truer words were never spoken!! (And quite surprising considering the quality of the sculpts on their old 9" and 12" lines IMHO)

I was wondering if you could ask you a "hypothetical" question Doc? Given that you already have the Star Trek rights...could that possibly include the NEW Movie?

at Dr. Mego's Repros

I am sorry about the delay in making more Trek figures but there
is just too much going on this year for me to get them done as
well.

Besides, the anticipation is the best part. Once you get the thing,
it just becomes another thing amongst your stuff.

Honestly Paul, I'm glad for the breather. Between your stuff, the Dida playsets,and all the other figures,custom bits and pieces released in the last year or so...Well, its nice to be able to sit back for a while and enjoy the "stuff".
