I was happy with him, till I tried to move the arms and the chest cracked open. Now he just sits on the shelf unposed, since the arms now like to pull into the sockets. And no, I am not going to take him apart and fix him, I expect a 20-30 dollar figure to be made a lot better than that.

No offense, but I'm amazed that so many people COMPLAIN when we are getting MEGOS mass prodcued again, let that sink in for a moment . . . . MEGOS are being mass produced. Do the heads always match the bodies? . . . rarely, Are the accessories top notch? . . . seldom, could the outfits be more detailed? . . . certainly!! . . . . that my friend is why these figures are so GREAT!!! if you want a Khan with all the above go to the customs forum and slap down $200, Sideshow, Medicom or some other top line figure producer and order your figure . . . but remember this . . . . you won't be getting a MEGO!
Respectfully submitted . . . .

Just got mine from Hastings, and man am I glad I did not pay full price for him.
the 1980's breakdancin' windbreaker suit is see through, and no accesory except the belt. His head and body are 2 different tones, they could at least give him a phaser, or a starfleet uniform as well, he WAS an exclusive. overall the 2 figs i wanted most both dissapoint..(read Gorn). but hey it's Khan, and I LOVE the rest of the line...except 8%of the cheron, his painted white hand is scraped all over the blister!
BUT keep em coming, there are always figures that fall short in every collection, but a few bad apples will not ruin this bunch!!!Last edited by megojim; Jun 10, '09, 10:32 AM.My Custom Figures

What most people don't realize is that producing overseas carries clout when you're producing 50,000 or 100,000 pieces. It's difficult to do when producing 3,000. More so the big toy producing companies aren't out sourcing, they own the factories, so they control every aspect and actually have a person right there on the line to make adjustments. If most of you knew the insides of EMCE producing figures overseas, you wouldn't even consider going through the trouble to do what Doc and Joe have under taken. To say it's a labor of love is an understatement. So some of the first run trek figures had silver bands. If Mego had done that we'd all be paying $250.00 for a MOC silver band Spock variation. In 20 years you might sit and stare at it and think how lucky you were to get one at suggested retail. If you're unhappy with Kahn, get rid of it. Sell it on ebay, or post it in the marketplace or throw it away. It'll make someone else happy. It's easy to be reactive, be proactive. Get a contact in China, call Diamond and say you want to produce a Khan figure, fly all over to make the contacts, invest the money to get the tooling done, pay for the rights, pay someone to do a sculpt, pay someone to do a suit mock up, send the prototypes back and forth, and then distribute it. Piece of cake. Then we'll see how they match up.....Well... We're waiting...I thought so. Wether it was the big guys like Hasbro and Toy Biz or EMCE and Castaway, my thanks go to anyone that took the chance and effort to keep it going for this generation. It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

Love my Khan! Never thought I'd see him in a Mego style. I would have loved to have had him in the 70's. EMCE is doing a great job. If you want high detail and quality, go to a company like Hot Toys. If you love Megos, EMCE is a dream come true.
Keep them coming

Let me do a little Donald Rumsfeld here -
Did Khan come out EXACTLY as I hoped he would? No.
If time and money were not concerns, could I have made him differently? Yes.
Did Khan being an exclusive mean that we got paid more to make him? No.
Do I think Rumsfeld is a war criminal? Yes.Comment

I'm happy with Khan.
OK, I might have preferred a thicker material for the jump suit, or even using his gold ceremonial jacket, but Khan was a welcome addition.
He remains a homicidal maniac, but apart from that, he's OK in my book.....

Ohh, I'm fully capable of doing so, but I refuse to fix something I paid that much money for. A cheap-o CTVT body I expect this sort of thing, but not on one of these. I would have returned it, but mail order returns are a pain in the hinder. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. I WAS happy with Khan. Then he came over for a dinner party. Wouldnt use a coaster, and kept belching and scratching himself all throughout dinner without at least excusing himself. Once he started singing Al Jolson songs using his armpit sounds as musical accompaniement...well that was the last straw. The battle was epic, but I finally managed to drop him with a combination of flying drop kicks and repeatedly hitting him over the head with a fire extinguisher.
That dirty rotten superior so and so will never disgrace my home again!
The toy is cool though!"Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

Complaining about cheese factor on a Mego replica makes no sense to me, it's not a medicom hyper hero and never intended to be. I wouldn't change a thing about my Khan.
Exclusive does not entail "Deluxe" in any way, it's an incentive piece that someone gets the priveledge of buying the entire inventory. Yeah some guys do kick in some extra points on the price tag because they can but also because it's a huge risk.
At least it's an entirely new character, not like the hoarde of useless repaints that companies threw at us during the 1990s and still do.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
