Did EMCE announce anything new at Mego Meet 2009 ?

I could be wrong, but I thought there was suppose to be an EMCE announcment about a new line, new figures, new something at Mego Meet 2009.

Was there any announcent ? ... or is my memory all screwed up ?

Doc was told he had free reign on WGSH both Marvel and DC but he announced that he would pass and would do a Waltons line instead. CTVT fought hard to get the Waltons license and could not acquire it so this is a big deal. Look for an extended line coming soon.

Yes I did Brian - at least at that moment.

I gave a little talk about all the challenges of 2008 EMCE production
and told everyone about the real hero of this revival - Joe Sena.

He has worked tirelessly for 3 years now to resurrect MEGO just
because I had called him on the lowest day of my life seeking the
number of a good lawyer.

Bringing back MEGO has been my dream since I found out they
closed up, but it's a Quixotian dream that was almost certainly
(and still may be) doomed to failure. Asking someone to join
you on that quest, unless they share the same dream, is the
height of cruelty. But Joe has made it his dream too.

No matter which line he has, Marvel, DC, Waltons, etc. we WILL support our local Mego dealer!

After many years of being Mego-less, I am slowly, carefully rebuilding my collection.

Doc's figures are well-built, sturdy, gorgeous, and easy to customize. I will definitely be buying more of them in the future.

So Doc, when are ya going to China to pick up the kid? Any news on how he's doing over there?
