Thanks Jerry68, I missed that about the Gold Bands.

My 10yr old had taken a Spock from me. I gave it to him after he asked for it. Now that I have all these Emce Figures coming in via the mail, he wants the WHOLE SET and an ENTERPRISE!

So I'm on the hook to get it all for him by his birthday. I'll buy them now as I can but it counts as his December Bday present. I still don't know what the release plans are so I think I have to buy them now as they will go away. Right? Mego will return at some point and then I may have to buy them again.

    And I WILL!

Also, thanks for the reply Doc! Talk to you soon.

P.S. For what it is worth, the Spock and McCoy I just got from FAO (someone... went there and bought them for me in the store) had Silver rank.

It doesn't affect me where you buy the Star Trek and Apes - as long
    as you buy them.

My local Blockbuster has EMCE Kirk, Spock, the Klingon, and the Andorian, as well as a few movie figures and the DST Captain's Chair that's roughly Mego-scale.

My Ballbuster has the 6" Trek movie figs and the DST communicator and phaser, but no sign of any EMCE.

Emce second issue Kirk and Spock, Klingon and Andorian. It was so cool to see those on the shelves with the new Star Trek figures!!!
By SECOND ISSUE do you mean Gold Rank Braids?

I will go to At Least 1 Blockbuster tomorrow to see for myself. I went to the competition just a few hours ago.

Nice to hear. I will ask Doc Mego if buying Emce's in different outlets like Blockbuster and Hobby shops helps him more or less than buying from him directly.

I think he's told me it is better to buy from him, but I'll clarify.

    Coolness.

I don't think I have rented a movie since Lord of the Rings the Two Towers came out...what was that....2002?
it is cool to see these at retail though. I saw them at FAO Schwartz in NYC and even though I already had everything had to buy some.....just had to.

I like that aspect of it, too, plus they have good management, evidently, because the staff is very friendly and helpful. I like personal service and they have always been good about saying stuff like, "If you like this movie, I think you would enjoy this other one, too." They are usually are pretty good in their suggestions, too.

Probably not typical of all Blockbusters, but I'm pretty happy, for now. Perhaps if I rented a ton of movies, I'd make the switch.

I have still yet to find any EMCE at retail.

There are bonus plans and days where you can get half-off TV series rentals, a free .99 rental, and points toward a free new release rental (that's when I get a new release). All in all, Blockbuster can still be a good deal and it is really convenient for me because I have one right by work, so I don't have to go out of my way at all.

Blockbuster is still in business because they are actually owned by studios like paramount. They will be around forever unless they pull the old name change switcheroo.

That would be a very exciting thing to see. I don't know the sales numbers or anything like that, but the EMCE thing has been fun to watch unfold and seems to be growing. I look forward to seeing how this all pans out since it has been going pretty good for a while now.
