    Quantity produced ? Only 2800 bridges ?

    Could you help me ?
Do you know the number of figures produced for the series Star Trek 1 to 7, Star Trek Khan, POTA 1 & 2 and Night of the Living Dead 1?

Only on the cartons of Star Trek bridges, there is an indication. These boxes are numbered as follows:
    QUANTITY : 2 PCS
CARTON NUMBER : xxxx OF 1400
(The xxxx is the carton number. I have the 72 and 133)

Each carton contains two bridges. And there seems to be 1400 cartons products. So a total of 2800 bridges. Have you any other information?

Rick @ NewForce estimated 2800 domestic, 1200 international produced. Not sure if that's counting the production run QVC commissioned.

Diamond has told me point blank not to discuss production quantities.
It is a major secret in the industry.

As for the Enterprise playsets - the 1400 number is not reliable.
All that refers to is one particular shipment. There can be multiple
shipments in a production run, so you never know the total number
      of units made.

There could quite possibly be many more. Everyone seems to be getting them.
I would think 1,400 or 2,800 wouold be exhausted by now. Limited edition just means it's not expected to be in ongoing production and dare I say it It's a marketing strategy/ploy too. Like in the old days WGSH was an open ended run. So you weren't woried that superman wouldn't be there when you went to the store. The Gi joe masterpiece astronauts were limited to 10,000 or so they said. I had two and two of my relatives had one apiece and we didn't go to all the shows and weren't well connected to any retailers/dealers. They were all picked up at fao when they had a store In PA.
Doc can't talk about it, we should respect that, but we can still speculate. I can't believe we got 4 out of only 10,000 astronauts. I can't believe I got two out of 2,800 bridges. There are quicker, better connected people out there than I.

            hello all...
tis true, this set is not "limited".... as doc said, one shipment contained 1400 cases of 2, which equals 2800 units...I know there were 600 cases for the UK (extrapolate to 1200)....but, there are many other dist in the world, and there are many folks like me that order FOB, so my case count may or may not be part of the "count"...and the QVC run is a new production, and at that time, I am told Diamond will likely be producing more domestic stock...

so, while we can "guess" the #, because DST doesn't release (unless limited), we will really never know

              Maybe I'm naive here:
What is the point of knowing how many of these were made? Since they're so new, I don't see the collectible market boosting their value . . . . or. . . .

If somebody knows exactly how many were made they could buy all of them to make the value go up

I think here the speculation may also have to do with some people simply not having one and wondering how easy it will be to get one. More plentiful easier to get= a less worried collector.

A big 'thank you' for the comments of Paul and Rick.

You should know that I do no speculation.

In addition to variants of the figures, I try to have a maximum of information on production runs, packaging, and more.

In recent months, I am trying to put myself in writing a book. Initially, it was the Star Trek universe and the language of publication would be French. But I write mainly on EMCE and I think it will be almost the main topic of the book. I will try to associate myself with a good translator and offering it to a American or English publisher.
