    Retro Trek Bridge on QVC?

Coming up this Sunday night at 10pm PT (1am ET), QVC will be doing a one hour "Star Trek Universe" special. Among the items that have just popped up under a search for Star Trek at qvc.com is DST/EMCE's Retro Bridge..

So maybe the playset will be making a TV appearance!

Here's Trek Movie's article on the show:

Yep, I'm watching it now. The Bridge is onscreen right now but I'm rewinding my DVR to see the beginning and then off to bed.

$54.00 + 7.47 shipping. It is $60.00 on the Diamond website.

The 2 hosts are not "experts" and they are pretty cheesy. I haven't watched this much of QVC et al before. It is probably normal amount of clueless, insincere cheese.

The segment with the bridge is now online:

Star Trek Retro Series Bridge Play Set - QVC.com

Highlight and play the VIDEOS box to the left, above the playset pic.

No mention of Mego, but at least the concept of it being a 70s reproduction was touched on, including the guy's personal story. He seemed genuinely concerned/annoyed that the stickers hadn't been applied to the show prop

Wow, new Mego being shilled on TV, and nobody cares, huh? Tragic.

It was pretty funny to watch those two stumble through the stuff they didn't know about Star Trek but pretend they did.

The spit take for me was them selling the Deforest Kelley autograph and first saying Jimmy Doohan died the same year and then the other corrected him to a couple years (it was actually 5). And then they said Walter Koenig was dead(!).

Huh, I was wondering about that. I found it curious that they weren't expecting delivery until the end of June..

Even QVC can't match your prices, Rick!
