I wonder if this means their regular stores will now carry them? They do sell DST's other Trek figures in store. Be cool to see "Megos" at TRU again.

That would be awesome! I had just posted something not real long ago to the effect that I would like to see EMCE's sold in retail stores. Maybe my hint sparked an idea and got the wheels turning. In any event if this tends to be true I will buy more of them to help support EMCE's efforts just because I see them in the stores.

Diamond Select Toys told us at Toy Fair that they had made a deal with
Toys R Us to carry their products. I know that people have reported
TRU Canada selling the figures in stores - but I know that the Canada
division is run a little differently than the U.S stores.

I noticed that a small amount of EMCE Trek figures were sold in TRUs in Toronto. They sold pretty quickly.

Interesting. I've seen Diamond product that had advertising for EMCE figures and such on the back of the packaging but haven't stumbled across any actual EMCE items at TRUs in my neck of the barren Canadian woods...

Haven't seen any at the TRU in Winnipeg I was there yesterday and I specifically looked for 'em.Soon I hope that would be cool.

I think that in order for EMCE Star Trek figures to be truly successful in stores like TRU, the entire line (or most of it, including the bridge playset) has to be in the store at the same time. If I didn't know what was going on with this product and found only Sulu and the Gorn, I might pass them by, figuring why would I want just those two? Needless to say, with the new movie looking to be HUGE, there has never been a more golden opportunity in recent times to sell figures of TOS characters. I just hope EMCE can realize the full potential of what it has.

Our stores have tons of Diamond trek product but I've never seen an EMCE figure in there, I keep looking.

I don't get the distrubution angle of this. So is there another wave of Sulu/Gorn in production? Otherwise, why would TRU have a pre-order for them when they were released weeks ago?

Also, just becuz the EMCE stuff is available via their website doesn't mean it'll be on the store pegs.
