Bummer Paul...I liked him. I guess I should be happy I've got a mint/loose one.

Yet when ever this topic comes up alot of people ask for him. I know there is a lot of buzz on ebay to pick up parts to fix up existing ones. I battled it out many times to get a full vintage outfit together.

Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
      Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

You will note that the demand for the ones that have not been redone will increase. Gotta collect em all, you know.

I remember just before I came here. I had E mailed Paul asking why he didnt do a Sulu or Checov figure, esp since he had all the parts, heads, bodies ETC in his repo shop.

He told me the same thing.. No demand. Then he came out with them a few months later

He actually said the same thing to me about the Cheron not that long ago. Said it was a pretty plain figure with nothing more than a black and white outfit and B/W painted head with little demand and yet a few months later here we are with a Cheron released. As they say, things change

Not popular and no demand for Nept? Just curious what facts you are using to form these opinions of certain characters/figures not being that popular? Granted Nept doesn't command any kind of high prices right now, not even carded but he commands more than Kirk & Spock, and has as much or more demand as a Cheron.
And we got a Cheron (Mego accurate not screen accurate) which in my opinion is a lesser demand character right now than the Neptunian.
I guess I always thought the EMCE figures were made based on them being retro's of what Mego made in the 70's and not determined based on "actual" screen characters?
I think the decision to pass on making the rest of the Mego figures like Neptunian is not only sad for collectors but an incorrect decision IMO
Of course that's easy for me to say since I'm not the one paying out the big bucks for tooling up a new figure either.

But I think since Paul has said this before about passing on certain figures only to see them come to fruition a few months later, he maybe trying to keep it quiet for the moment which also allows him to give us a cool surprise sometime soon down the road

Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

Honestly, as long as the line continues, I don't care what they put out. The doofs from The Apple, Tellerites, Mr. Atoz....whatever! As long as it's been of the quality we've seen, they can put out whatever and I'll snap it up.

It dawn on me over the weekend-- you could say the same about Uhura. They had to dig the female body out for that one.

Another realization just now! They're making the little girl for the Night of the Living Dead line...that's GOT to be a small body for an even more obscure character.

If you fellas want to see the Neptunian made - get a retailer to commit
to doing an exclusive through their Diamond rep. New Force Comics or
Planet X or Newbury Comics could champion the cause of the Neptunian.

I can only make the figures that Diamond wants to buy - and they
listen to the retailers (or e-tailers) that are willing to commit resources.
It's as fair a system as there is.

I say a Kirk as a Romulan exclusive would be ideal. Now with a combination of Kirk with Spock's ears, that seems doable with little sculpting needed. And yet a completely different and completely desirable figure.

To finish off the regular series of figures Mego did make, there is like two or three still left right...the Neptunian, Talos and technically the original brown Gorn as well.
For never produced figures, a Nomad exclusive would be cool
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

This would be awesome for Romulan enthusiasts as well, I'd buy 3 just for the blue shorts/sash.
