How about a security officer 3 pack for a full landing party? Three guys in red shirts with the proper rank so we don't have to have a bunch of Scotty heads running around with no bodies. I suppose they could have the same mold with different color hair like the vintage GI Joes. Also, an african american security guard would be cool.

They could....but I think Thier best bet would be to keep expanding on the TV Serie's. There are so many possibilitie's that have yet to be tapped: Chekov, Sulu, Bele, Accurate GORN, Chapel, Rand...and so many more!! I'd like to see Movie Figure's as well...but later on down the Line. Starting with Star Trek:TMP.sigpicComment

I'm guessing they won't try for the license though. APES products as of late just aren't selling the way they should. Maybe it's a lack of popularity, or maybe it's the public simply being unaware of their presence, but whatever the case is, APES items aren't the property they should be.Comment

With the Klingon designed the Gorn would be the next easiest repro figure. A head sculpt and new hands and you're done. If a series two run of figures is planned, Sulu and Chekov would almost guarantee the success of the lines for a second year. I expect the next two sets of figures to be highly successful. The Andorian and Romulan should make sure of that. If Diamond lets Sulu and Chekov through I would say we will be two series deep and would bet we'll see other companies take notice of the success. I also would start with chase figures. A belly shirt Kirk would be easy but very attractive to collectors and randomly packed would definately drive case sales to dealers. Captain Pike would require a head sculpt but should be very possible as a chase figure should the line reach a third series. The ebay auctions alone of the chase pieces would drive the advertising of the line not only nationwide but worldwide. If that created a market big enough to support the lines who knows how far this could go. A UK or Japanese distribution tie-in would easily move enough figures to sustain the line for a few years. I do hope this results in at least two or three new figures. An entirely new "Mego" figure created 25 years after they closed the doors of the company would truly show the long-lasting influence Mego had on the toy industry. Plus I think Sulu and Chekov deserve to be forever enshrined in toy history as factory produced plastic and rubber figures. I know the Star Wars deal has long been considered the downfall of Mego but after seeing some of the SW customs on this site, I can only wonder how awesome that entire line in 8" cloth costumes would have been. Who knows, maybe someday we'll find out. It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

Not sure that I would buy any updated/more accurate aliens. Well, maybe I would, but I prefer the kookiness of the originals. I would definitely buy a Sulu and Chekov, and KHAN, if they looked like they came from Mego in the 70's.Last edited by Remco Monster; Aug 14, '07, 2:54 PM.Comment

I'd love to see a Gary Seven figure.
Here's a great custom by Captain Dunsel:
