Hello all,
I just got back from Farpoint, it's a Sci Fi con held in Maryland each year. While the con is not very big, about 1000 people they usually have a nice dealers room. This year there were only two dealers selling action figures and one of them was selling EMCE Star Trek figures, I bought an extra Gorn from him. Anyway, he said he brought four cases of EMCE figures and he sold all of them but two figures (a Klingon and a Keeper).
I was impressed they sold that well and it wasn't just older collectors buying them. I saw more than one teenager stop and give them a longing look. Also, I had my Gorn with me through several panels and numerous people commented on how nice he looked.
I even heard the name Mego bantered about over the weekend. It's so nice to see them returning to main stream. Just wanted to share.
