They are on Diamond's ship list for this week, so comic shops should have them Weds. I have also seen a couple on Ebay... -
I thought it was rather humerous that most of them appear to be looking off in the distance...
The one odd thing I noticed was the creasing in the Gorn costume.
When you line up several you can see some have more white creasing showing through than others.
The Thick black belt is really cool.Last edited by GUYx1; Feb 4, '09, 2:24 PM.Cheers,

Hiya folks,
Just for kicks.
Comparison shot of a resin head gorn on a t2 lizard body and the new EMCE. Also a resin Sulu in there. I have noticed the Checkov, Sulu, and Gorn heads by EMCE are a little soft on the detail. Sort of cartoonish in a way. I don't think this detracts from the figure, but it is a little different when placed next to a MEGO sculpt or one that derived from mego. The cast head I have for my old Gorn is also a bit bigger than the roto head on the new toys. All in all a sort of Pogo-ish effect on the new Gorn. These are not criticisms, mind you, just critique. I like the new Gorn quite a bit. Since the lower legs are thicker and the EMCE body is a bit more buff than the old t2, he seems a little larger and more substantial, yet not as muscley as a Hulk torso would be. More along the lines of the source material. Pretty nifty.
Sad note: I hope this kind of stuff does not plague the EMCE line. If you look at the new fellow, his head looks a bit lopsided. I thought perhaps it wasn't seated on the body quite right. I pushed it to see if it would set back into the neck hole and it felt rather loose. Turns out it is split on one side of the neck post and leaning away from the split.
Second sad note: When I set these figures up to snap the pic, the new Gorn body cracked at the right shoulder joint. I had heard about that problem with Khan, but forgot to stretch out the arm rubber band to ease up the tension a bit. I will be exchanging this fellow at the shop I purchased him from. I'll swap him for another Gorn, but I sure do hope this isn't a trend for these figures.

Don't blame me! Sulu just did that all on his own!
You mean your megos don't have crazy parties when you are out of the room?
Actually It was referencing a Trek Episode.
I did that because I figured people might wonder about the color of the Head & Body, since this is a new color of EMCE body.
I suppose taking pix of zombies in their skivvies should be next on my list...Last edited by GUYx1; Feb 5, '09, 4:47 PM.Cheers,

Thanks for letting me know about the neck plug splitting - I will take it up with
my guy in China.
As for the "softness" of the detailing on the head - you are comparing Brady's
handcast head with a rotocast vinyl piece. When you rotocast a head, you
lose some of the fine details. The sculptor usually compensates for that in
sculpting the head.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time for James to re-do his Gorn head, due
to the amount of time it took to get the legs sculpted, so we had to send
his existing head. In the future, we should have more time.Comment
