    EMCE bodies are smashing

I just felt like giving EMCE a super-kudos on how well their Star Trek bodies are constructed ......

    Let me explain ......

    I don't own many Mego's anymore and I only own 1 EMCE.
It's a Doctor McCoy I won from a Mego Museum contest a long time ago.

Since then I really put it through the ringer.
Not in an effort to try and break it --- I know I could do that if I wanted to.

I mean using it for all my nutting customs for the last year .....
Popping the head off a zillion times and putting it back on.
Redressing it many times as well.
Putting it in dumb positions etc.

This EMCE McCoy has been everything from Foilman to The Masking Tape Mummy -- and many in between.

After all that it's as good as new and still waiting to be more.

So all I want to say,
    Kudo's to EMCE .....
You're not only pretty on the outside--- but also within.

    Thanks

Thank you very much for the kind words.

I wish I could say that the quality is good because I spent hours
and hours standing over the production line spot testing assembly
after having worked out the mathematics of material stress, but
    I didn't.

I sent some vintage Megos to a factory in China ten years ago
and asked them to help me realize the dream of a ten year old
boy in the body of 34 year old man.

After hearing about the Khan with two left hands and the red
faced Scotty, I find myself focusing on the production errors,
and forgot to thank them for all the ones done right.

    Thanks for reminding me.

That's a good point Paul...I can see how, that since it bares your name....that these few quality control issues would distract you from all the good. But in truth...these few issues, are VERY few! And the fixes are pretty easy(red faced Scotty replaced with original, Crumpled red Shirt replaced with your REPRO, and I've yet to receive two left handed Figures...and I buy them by THE CASE!!!).
And the good far out numbers the mistakes...you gave us KHAN!!!! And other NEW, never before produced Megos(that should have been)CHECKOV, SULU, Accurate GORN!!! All I can say...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! And keep Em' coming!!!!!

I really don't find Scotty's face 'too red'... if anything, he just had a wee nip before coming on duty.

My Scotty was fine, my Khan was great!
All collars were starched and perfect.
I have very few remarks, and I love the little upgrades like putting that plastic insert between their feet to keep them nice and straight in the package.
My Chekov had his belt tucked nicely underneath his shirt, as it should be.

My only down side, is that some bubble corners are cracked, but I honestely think that dealers are just too rough wit them.

All I'm asking for: keep them coming! Please!
            Can't wait for my Gorn....

Yes, I have to say that, barring small glitches like collars, resin tones, & armatures, Emce is FANTASTIC! Just seeing these on the shelves (with new characters as well & concerns corrected in subsequent runs) is amazing.

Thanks, Doc, for all you've done for the Mego community.

Agreed! I bought an Andorian and a Romulan at Camden Yards this summer. I played with them in the hotel, in the car, on my desk every night since. They are truly a marvel to behold. Thanks, from me too, Doc!

I agree the male bodies are smashing and while the female bodies look fantastic I've found that the neck plug tends to break when you put too much stress on it when forcing a head onto it

Mehh, I've got two with cracked chests and the arms suck in now. In theory they are nice, but in reality there are QC issues just like CTVT.
