The "What should Castaway Do Next" Thread. (sorry Dave)
How about some female characters? Honestly, I'm just REALLY hoping for some female bodies in the same sweet articulated form as the male ones! That would ROCK!
The trick would be to make them buff without making them bulky.
A woman's skeletal structure is a bit finer than that of a man, and you have to take that into account.
I'm not talking about the women that have bulked up to the point where they have lost their boobs, and look like men in bikinis.
I'm talking about women who are well-toned, without the arm wattle that so many of us unfortunately get.
Lucy Lawless springs to mind. Her upper arms were nicely toned without being overdone.
Linda Carter's were good too. No flab anywhere.
Maybe a build like a gymnast or martial arts practictioner (did I spell that right?)
I'm going to take a look at Women's Fitness Magazine, and see if there are any good pics that I can use for reference; so that people will know what I mean.
I've heard it's not "as hard" to get the license on older Characters(and Actors)...such as Bogart, or Cagney? And aren't You working on Trenchcoats & Fedoras...Man, would I LOVE to own an 8" Bogie.
How about maybe doing an 8 inch line of KISS? Get them in all their make-up eras in four pack sets... original, Destroyer, Dynasty, etc. The original four members plus exclusive or short packed members like Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent. Hell, Gene always seems willing to slap the KISS stamp on just about anything and they would make for some wicked cool figures to boot with an awesome company like Cast-A-Way making 'em! At least I know I'd buy 'em.

Reading some of the recent posts about Ideals super queens made me think of this thread.
I am sure some females have been suggested. How about a revisit of the super queen concept combined with secret id/alter ego?
A good female armature with the secret ID costume would be a great. If someone wanted to customize the figure with a superhero costume after purchase, then there you go. Or they could be displayed along side the hero costumed Mego counterparts. A nice tie in to the CA world as it were. I am sure there are a few CA collectors out there who also have Ideals queens on the shelf, so this is a similar concept on the 8" scale.
Throw in Bob Villa, Nancy Grace, & Mister Rogers as a boxed set.
Meow Meow Meow Mego Meow.
And I add my voice to the better female sculpt and articulation crowd. They need to come in a few colors. I need white for a Captain Harlock Mimi and Sandman Death, Desire, etc. Besides my Batgirl needs to look less super model "Were you just eating powdered donuts?" and more Yvonne Craig.
