What are the average regular retail prices for re mego?

I was under the impression that the average retail prices for remego was around $20-$25. After a visit to one of the better known comic/toy shops in Toronto today I was a little floored by the $35-$40 prices. The only $25 dollar figure I saw was a Sinestro (that I picked up at a Winners two years ago for $8, obviously on discount but still).

A lot of Internet sites sell them for $24.99, but comic shops and Toys R Us sell them for $29.99
