i got a email from a nemo rep saying the seaghost figures have arrived at their warehouse and should begin shipment next week.

I received a call today from a Nemo rep verifying my address and payment info for Sea Ghost. She said my figures should ship out on Wednesday! I can hardly wait.

So did I! I have to admit, that even after getting the email, I didn't expect them to actually CALL me and let me know that the figure was on its way.

My local comic shop called me saying they have a figure for me and the only figure I put a request in for was Sea Ghost. I hope that is what it is! Looking forward to getting him this weekend!

Got one yesterday at my local comic shop.

Nit picks

1) silk screened black parts of the costume rather than black cloth with sewn white cloth pieces (normally not a huge issue but ...)
2) costume was sewn too tight, crotch too high, sleeves and legs too tight, etc. As a result the fabric is stretched to the point that the black silk screening shows a lot of white underneath making the legs look light grey, not black. The neck hole is stretched as well so you see a lot of the white torso between the black of his cowl and the black of his costume
3) the EMCE body displays the same tearing/pulling of the arm sockets/holes that the FTC bodies display. Not sure how long till arms start ripping off on their own. Which is weird given how nice and heavy the plastic used feels
4) the body has flashing and bits of plastic everywhere that will snag the too tight clothes
5) the velcro on the black is sewn weird and doesn't seem to "velcro" together well. The suit is always open making the white around the neck even more noticeable.
6) paints on the head are a tad sloppy and rushed

But! The design is cool, the concept, etc. The head sculpt is great. It is nice to have some non-DC or Marvel characters. Card was very suitably mego-retro and looks good too.

Ordered him through my local comic shop as I STILL have no ordering info from Nemo to Canada. The price was crazy low due to my being a great customer but I really expected to pay more with the US/Canada exchange rate being so low.

A tonne of little issues that add up and detract from the figure.

Over all I am okay ... do I think just a tad more effort at the factory would have resulted in huge improvements? Yes. But I totally understand the issues dealing with an overseas supplier.

Sorry, pictures haven't transferred from my camera to Dropbox automatically yet and I left the camera at home. I suspect the batteries died. Will post tonight.
