I wish they were mine. I have coming in the naked body, the torso and head of Dracula, and the head of the Mummy. I am just curious to see if anybody has tried to reproduced the body?Visit my wiki site:

While I love these figures, that body has it's share of problems and limitations.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

That's for sure! I love the figures too, but it's in spite of, not because of, the kind of crappy bodies. Weird accordion arms with a feature that doesn't work that well, and hip joints that easily deteriorate. Not sure who would even want to reproduce those. But these guys are an example where the whole is greater than the sum of their parts.Comment

I may have to send out the heads to get reduced and copied. I like the fact that they were the original Universal Monsters.Visit my wiki site:

I have Franky, Wolfman, and Dracula boxed. I always thought Frankenstein was a soft mold of the AHI/Aurora variety. I love the Wolfman head because it comes, I think, the closest to looking just like the Universal character. They really nailed the shape of the head with regards to thickness of hair and chin line. Plus they have his bottom teeth out like they should be.Comment

I would like to point out that that top picture of the four, is my photo. Those are not his figures.Comment

As I said they were not mine. All I have are two naked Remco monsters. I would like to have the heads reduced down to fit on a 8" Mego body.Visit my wiki site:

I love the Remco figures and find them underrated among monster collectors. I had the original four as a kid and played with them rigorously. Only Dracula failed to survive to adulthood. I still have my childhood Wolfman, Mummy and Frank, and they are in great shape. Dracula is in pieces, but that is because my brother and I "killed" him. We staked him, dismembered him, then drew "blood" all over him with a red magic marker. We even cut his head in half to make sure he stayed dead. We did everything but smear garlic on him.
As a collector, many years ago I completed a set of the six monsters in boxes:

^That is a great story. Toy destruction in service of story accuracy.
Great set of monsters too! I actually saw a set of the common ones at a collectibles store a week ago. It took me back to seeing them up on the top shelf of our local Dollar General years ago. VERY tempting...
