I find it hysterical that CTVT is NOW charging $30.00 for ONE Robin Hood figure, when I bought the ENTIRE series for less than that a few years earlier. Their supplies might finally be running low, but that's no reason to inflate the price that high. How ridiculous.

My only experience with CTVT was their Munsters figures. I bought a set and was thrilled with the look of them, but Lily, Grandpa, Eddie and Marylin all broke right out of the package. 4 out of 5? Never bought another thing they made and never will.

The bodies do suck, no arguement there, but the other stuff is pretty useful.
    I USED THE OTHER STUFF.

They've a had a few big sales. I've stocked up. For customs they're good for the price. I can replace the odd part or two. The female bodies are a write-off in most cases; especially the no neck ones.

Yes. That would be an honorable thing to do, which means they won't do it.

Just to clarify: I don't play with these things, but I do want them to stand up. They also shouldn't fall apart. I'm thankful that there are other companies who care about the quality of their product. I'll be sending my business their way.

The same thing happened to me when my kids and I were playing.
Then, when I was investigating the problem, the other rubberband broke!
Ironically, I replaced both with CTVT black rubber bands, that I had in my bin, and hooked them up straight, not twisted.
They work great and he is as good as new!

I've also had this problem with BBP and EMCE figures as well. The figures from Doc(bbp,EMCE) while being of a better plastic and non-brittle they are still too tight and several figures I have have just fallen apart because the elastic has just snapped. The other day my son lifted up steve austins arm and it just came clean off.
I don't understand why it is so hard to get a good elastic on these figures.

I've said it for years the best part about CTVT is the Accessories and cheap clothing.I don't order a figure to play with from them I order clothing on cheap plastic mannequins at a good price. When I want playability I swap out the bodies with doc's or Megos.

So far my experience has been that CTVT's accessories are pretty good, but their bodies are really awful. I think nearly every female figure I have from the (mostly the Space:1999 figures) have broken feet and/or hands (not to mention, many of the bodies have badly glued connections or sections that are splitting like the female shins or thighs). Many of the male figures are (as people have pointed out) strung too tightly, but many of the have also had broken hands or feet.

I haven't really had any issues with their clothing or other accessories, though.

Be VERY CAREFUL when removing the KISS figures heads. The BRITTLE plastic that these guys use will break. My Ace Frehley's head stopper snapped clean off. Luckily I was able to super glue it back together, but sheesh! What the heck!??

The replacement CTVT body looks nothing like an original Mego body. The pelvis is far too small. The leg sockets do not fit into the pelvis, but rather stick out from it, making the hips wider than the shoulders. I should also note that the replacement body is NOT the ones used for the KISS figures. It is FAR worse (believe it or not!)

I had previously ordered a DOC MEGO body, which was beautiful. Fan-freakin-tastic.
This time, I was ordering a Paul Stanley figure to round out the collection and thought I'd save some money in shipping. My mistake for thinking that I'd get something of quality from these jokers.

CTVT = WORST TOY COMPANY EVER.
Can you think of a worse one? I bet not.

The real problem here is that this shouldn't be a problem.
    1. They should know better
    2. They should CARE enough to put out a quality product

CVTV will never see another dollar from me.

Yeah, when I ordered the first series of KISS figures, the Ace outfit was too small to even fit him correctly and they were all strung so tight, they couldn't stand. Sorry, but the 8 inch market is plenty competitive to have to accept this. Unless they fix their nonstop quality control issues, I'm done with them. Plus they've hurt some of my friends professionally, so I have no interest in supporting them.

I wonder if a silicon hair elastic would work well? Or swimsuit elastic?

I'm just glad that he sends out extras of those at no charge.
Male hip-pins, can be easily tooled to fit a DrMego female leg-hole.
