Thanks Chris. But make no mistake, I do LIKE them. They are cool. Just frustrated with Ace's outfit not fitting right. But, at the end of the day, we finally have official 8 inch KISS figures. Whoever thought we would be saying that earlier this year? Amazing...

I prefer the 8" figures. I like them to fit in with the rest of the Megos and M-likes. I also enjoy that they fit in with the modern figures, but tie into the past.

^^^ Interesting. I haven't seen the 12 inch versions in person. Outside of the space issues, doyou think the quality is better on the 8 inch or is that just the format you prefer?

Got mine today and thought they were pretty cool. I didn't like the construction of my Ace costume though because it was so tight fitting the snap on the back didn't want to stay on. Reminiscent of the problems I had with some other CTVT body suits. I thought the packaging was also on the over-sized side. The hair was okay but not quite as styled as depicted on the ads. Overall though they are nice replicas of the 12 inch versions. The face paints are very good and I love the boots on all of them. I would say Peter is the best in the lot followed by Gene (although his chains were not sown correctly to hang across his chest). Overall this was a cool addition for the 8 inch realm. But I think from here they should just focus on different looks in the 12 inch format. I think the eight format was good for one shot and that's it.

Got my set of 8" figures today from rche. Good god these things are sweet. Never thought I'd seem them in the 8" line. The only picking I can do is the packaging is way too oversized and the Paul I have looks like Leatherface took his chainsaw to his hair.

Other than that I am stoked for the rest of the waves!

I've been giving the 8" KISS figures the Star Trek boot treatment using the boots from the MacFarlane line. I also swapped out his hands. The guitar seems in scale too.

My Starchild and Spaceman were fine. Didn't really have to do anything to them. Had to redo the Demon a couple of times. At first I thought I'd experiment with using an 8 inch Mego pelvis on him. Didn't work. Just made the legs snap together. Mego rubber bands are also too long. Ended up redoing him exactly the same way I did the Catman. He now looks none the worse for wear after his ordeal.

    I bought a Gene ...
I really don't like Kiss at all outside of thier "Look".
    Too Young I suppose.

But I went ahead and Picked up a Gene ..., Thought it would be cool for an 8inch Gene to hang out With My Megos.

    The Figures Pretty Nice ...
I like The Custom Boots Boss Made So Much better though.

The Packaging is just far too big imo.
& with the Idea of more waves of figures ...., The Packaging is Far too big and will take up far too much space with collect them all folks. Shoulda Went Boxes.

If a Destroyer Gene is made .... I'll probably get him too ..., but I'll leave the rest to the proffessionals .
Disapointed in the No Instruments though ...

    he looks great.
watch out for the armbands next to the hands. The black seems to leech into that soft vinyl really easily.

On my Catman, originally the rubber bands were bunched up and twisted through the torso and pelvis side by side. Which caused his waist to twist around. Here he is now with the rubber bands strung flat and overlapping each other in an "X" position.

Wolf - I strung up one of the bodies left to left and right to right, rather than the 'x'. It did well that way, tho the legs tended to want to pull closer together. I will try another body and flatten out the 'x' going from right arm to left leg and vice versa.
    Thanks for the tip.

And Chris; what I meant about the sculpts is that if you took the paint ap off of it, it would probably not look like a realistic face sculpt. Ace is the closest there was to that, and was a representation of the person under the greasepaint. Peters sculpt is the most lifelike, but we know it was modeled after a different person.

I think you would need to get an up close and personal with these if something seems off. They are pretty cool. They are a bit more susceptible to some warpage issues, but the paint aps are spot on and sharp. My biggest beef is that the plugs for the hairline are a bit too far back and don't allow the hair to follow the greasepaint the way the originals did. Makes the faces look more pronounced.

I just got a set of the 8 inch ones. The outfits and bodies, in my opinion, are fantastic. The metal hip pins is a terrific idea. As far as I can tell, the reason the bodies twist is simply because they are strung wrong. Best I can describe it is, the rubber bands need to be strung flat and overlapping each other in an "X" position. I redid my Catman like that and he is fine now. No more twisting.
