CTVT elastic repair kits

Got some bodies that need restringing. How are the CTVT elastic repair kits? I

I've never used one, but you can probably get away with restringing one like a T1 Mego body.

I just restring the CTVT bodies. I think they are more poseable after restringing.

The CTVT bodies can be restrung like a type one, I have done this to the 2 I have. It makes the Bodies stand better as well as make the arms a bit more flexible and poseable, one of the problems, with the CTVT bodies, is that the elastic they use is just to thight and breaks the thin plastic strap that holds them. Restring them helps.

My concern with them is that even though I assume they are bigger/longer bands you still risk the possibility of the plastic breaking. Personally I'd save myself the hassle and just get bodies from Dr. Mego or Castaway. (or of course ZICA when they are available again).

I've got vintage Mego bodies that I've restrung using elastic. I've discovered that elastic loses That's the goal, fixing old bodies.
