    Space 1999 - Number 8 Review

    Space... The 1999 frontier.

Recently I put up a review of the Classic TV Toys Number 8 figure review. This character from the sci-fi show known as Space 1999, is a fairly unique addition to the CTVT lineup. Is he worth the $5? Read to find out!

Great review, I always fancy getting a set of these, U can pick them up for $100 for the whole lot, its just the bodies that scare me away.

Very nice review! Did you pick your figure up in a shop? Postage is what always kills getting more of these for me. They're not quite worth it with the added charges...

You should pick up the Alan Carter in the yellow space suit. It's a pretty damn nice figure, especially if you tweak it out with a better body, and better glue for those infamous paper decals.

No I bought it online. I usually tried to buy several items at once, to make the shipping more worth my while.

I think the description of the character is a little off.

"Number 8 is one of the few characters who isn't just a guy in a spacesuit. He's a "human" robot, who's looking to learn the emotion that will allow him to kill."

If I recall this guy was preventing the Alphans from showing his masters, who were robots, how to fight because they would kill humans and take their place.

You are correct. It's been years since I had seen that episode and for some reason I was thinking the Numbers were the robots, but you're right, it's the other way around. I'll update the description.

I'm still hunting down the limited-edition Red Coat Alan Carter..

If anyone's got one, I'd love to talk $$.
