    Thrift Store Speculators needed

So I've been hitting the Thrift and Goodwill stores alot. Especially since my nearest one is selling by the pound. In the Mego/ Mego-like catagories I've found :
2002 8" Spidey and Gobby figures.
    An actual Mego Superman.
    2 Breyers girls figures 7.5"
And the wrestler figures that are near Mego scale.

What I need speculation on is
Why am I not finding any 9" Famous covers and the like?
Also I wonder how long it will be before I start seeing the RE-Mego figures?

I gotta say. The first day I start finding current Mego-like figures in those Goodwill bins. Thats when I begin camping out at that store.
Check out my picture library of Mego-ish compatible vehicles with ID data.

Weren't famous covers generally a collector's line being sold via collector's venues like comic shops as opposed to the toy aisles to kids?

I don't ever recall seeing them in mass market stores, but that might be just Canada.

Because they weren't bought by kids, just collectors for the most part. I've only seen a Hasbro Sandman one time and they wanted way to much for him. I guess they thought he was valuable. I think the same will go for the retro figures out now.

I got most of my Famous Covers from Target .... & TRU. Then later, towards the last few , they were Diamond / Comicbook Shop Exclusives... Rogue , Red Skull, NightCrawler, and so forth.

          A few were also KB Toys Only Figures..., the 2 packs I think ... Spider-man / Electro & Spider-Woman / Spider-man ... Then I think a Different Spider-Woman.

I bought most of my Famous Covers at TRUs in New Mexico. I ended up giving them all away. They were fun to collect and even more fun to give away to kids.

I know toys r us has famous covers but only tops 5 or 6 out at a time here local. I've found a couple at the goodwill but they were so trashed not worth the $4 price they had on them .

I think I got most of the ones that I bought in a store at Kay B Toys. Otherwise it was ebay all the way. Famous Covers at Goodwill? Dare I dream?

Maybe I shouldnt have focus on "Famous Covers" only. There where other 9" lines. The last I saw in that scale where at Wallymart. I think it was the "Spiderman Origins" line. They were 14.99 a piece. I got a Spidey, Iron Spidey, Doc Ock and Goblin. Also Did'nt Hasbro do a 9" run of figures for DC. I bought a Blue Superman (from the Death of Supes story line.) at a Salvation Army store And I think I saw a Golden age looking Green arrow figure at a used video game store. Both were marked up so high you would have thought they were Mego's.

Famous covers and dc hasbro figures are generally dirt cheap everywhere you go, so I don't think you need to limit yourself to finding them in thrift shops. Rather than picking up used played-with versions, boxed and new will generally only run you a few bucks.

BK, the Dick Sprang Batman and Robin was Hasbro Collectors website exclusive, and there was a Ditko Spidey that was Target exclusive, too.
