I saw Lassie make a mistake ONCE.

Warden was setting out bear traps and gave Timmys Mom a bear trap opener in case any live stock got caught.
Mom gets caught. Lassie finds her. Mom tells Lassie to go get the Bear Trap key and DESCRIBES it to the D-O-G.
Lassie brought back a cheese slicer.
Second trip she got it right.
