That's pretty impressive. I'm glad to see it actually happening. Great stuff.

Looking really good. I'm excited to see the final product. Excellent work. One question - Will the upper jaw be able to move up and down or will it be held in one position?

I can tell you it will definitely be under $1000.....

Okay seriously though......we are working on that now but we'll know for sure once the production molds and first production casts are pulled. We would not want to low ball ourselves (thereby potentially upsetting and/or turning off potential buyers) nor give an inflated price quote before we have a better idea of what will be involved regarding materials and time. My mold maker will make those assessments once production begins. Sorry.....I'm not trying to be evasive about it, we just don't want to turn anyone off by undercutting ourselves with a low ball initial quote then coming back with a higher more accurate one once productions in under way to cover our investment in time and materials. I hope you will understand. Just start savin' your pennies now....'k?

Pic of the day - 'Aquashark'.....shock! surprise!

Here's another one for the good folks here on the Mego Museum. Just trying to spread out the pics just a little to give folks something to look forward to on a regular basis....it's like having Christmas more than once a year. :-)

                Stay tuned.....more to follow soon.

Oh and don't worry.....our 'Aquashark' does not have an addiction to 'nose candy'.....that white stuff on his nose is not powder....it's tiny air bubbles that are filled in and ready for another priming, LOL.

I've been following this thread ever since you started, and I'd just like to commend you on a terrific job so far. I'm sorry if this has been answered already, but do you think these will be limited?

More than likely it will be limited......could be until my Buddy gets tired of casting them (although he is a big fan of sharks) or the molds wear out and he doesn't feel like making another set. We're still a good ways from that point in determining anything concrete just yet though so I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth. But like the old adage.......'all good things must come to an end.' But then again you just never know......after all even Ol' Bruce from JAWS came back for 3 more sequels. Stay tuned, more to follow soon.

                          Update on "Aquashark" progress 4.24.11

In an email I received from my mold maker yesterday he mentioned the following:

"I am back to fiddling with Aqua again btw."

That is great news.....I am excited as we eek toward the 'finish line'. Just wanted to keep everyone updated. Sorry there has been so much downtime lately but my buddy has returned to work on a project that was started prior to the 'Aquashark' Project so this one has to be worked on in between. Don't worry though we will have this done (hopefully) before the Summer is here.......it will be 'Summer of the Shark' again!

Hope all is well and Happy Easter to all! More to follow soon so stay tuned!

                              Update on "Aquashark" progress 4.25.11

                              Hello all,

I just received these photos from the mold maker showing my original Mego shark side-by-side with 'Aquashark'. We're getting close to the finish line.....just a bit more priming and sanding to give him that 'showroom shine', LOL. Enjoy the pics. More to follow soon....stay tuned.

Looks incredible. On that note, I found some good Mego scale sharks recently.
