Thanks for all the support for 'Aquashark'

Thanks everyone for your kind words of support and encouragement. We will be replacing the original Mego logo (located on the lower tail fin on the original) with our own to again differentiate our repro from the original Mego great white shark. I will be commissioning a printing company tomorrow (if all goes well) to create a professional embossed logo mark for us that will most likely be placed on the underside of Aquashark along the seamline between the pectoral fins that will read:

    reevefan78 & SCO © 2011

We have additional future plans for Aquashark beyond this project if this one does well financially for us.....but we'll keep it a surprise for now. More to follow soon....stay tuned!

Perfectly expressed! It's so great to see this project progress; I'm waiting with "baited" breath to place my order.

Man this is all kinds of cool! I might have to get one of these. Thanks for all the hard work on this. If I am able to get one....I think I would treasure this more than an original....knowing just how much work went into it!

    Update on "Aquashark" progress 5.10.11

Here are some more pics of Aquashark showing yet some more work on the body (priming this time) to get him into shape for the final stage before molding him for the production pieces. This is what my buddy had to say about it at this stage:

"Down to 3 [from I think 5 or 6?] trouble spots that I am going to just 'grind down' then putty and sand/polish back out."

More to follow soon so stay tuned!

This is a direct quote from the mold maker regarding 'Aquashark':

Am in the spit and polish stage on AquaShark. Seeing as I am using
high grade silicon I want it to be as 'brand new-smooth' as possible.
Because that stuff will replicate any flaws, even as small as light scratches
    or grease from a fingerprint..
On the other end of the spectrum I also don't wish to lose the actual
flaws in the original Shark either. This is why it has been a little slow going.
I have been having to protect some areas but in others putty and sand/prime etc...
I also want to retain the not so straight seam between the body halves.
Been having to protect the little crooks and variations in it as well.

The weather has been hampering me somewhat with the constant rain.
we have only had 3 days of sunshine in almost as many weeks. I have used them
to the fullest for Aqua with the primer sessions. I estimate that I am approximately 92%
    done with the prototype model.

I bet in a B/W pic you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the real one and the prototype
