I did not know if it was just my imagination or what. I thought the recent orders of CTVT bodies were much better than some of the previous issues I have heard about in the past from others that have ordered.

They got better as they went along. The glow ones were almost as good as a Mego one. (The metal for the riggings was still a bit soft though.)

These bodies are good, and for the price are you kidding. Got 10 for 14 bucks and nothing wrong at all. Tight no breakage, perfect.

The sentry gave me a few CTVT bodies and at first I thought well I can have fun shooting them up in the air with rockets but these 4 were different. They haven't fallen apart yet and they seem sturdy. Maybe they will turn out ok. They do make great clothing and heads even if you get the falling apart body, you get the same replacement scenario with mattel bodies sadly. The insides are usefull as well, I just restrung an original mego using the CTVT rubber bands and hooks.

I just visited their site and, I'm going to have to call them or something, they have the 4 Robin Hood and 4 Pirates in boxes, as a set for $19?!? Really? And the 5 Knights are $29.

That is like $5 or $6ea. The Boxes, costumes and Accessories are probably worth that. But of course, I will want to play with them with my son and if they break easily I will just be frustrated.

Still... anyway, $19 for 4. I'm going to have to probably order all three sets I mentioned.

I have made many purchases from CTVT,almost all pirates in box,Knights in box,Robinhood 2 figures in box,Paul Marrow in box,a couple space1999 on card, a couple generic loose 1999 figures, and some other bodies, dracula, loose, The skeletons are cool, really top notch,The only problems i had was a finger broke on a generic figure i use for a red shirt tar trek and I did buy a Fonzie and richie, Fonzie came broken, they sent me anew figure, let me keep the old one,and they sent it quick also.
I consider them a top notch company, and I will be putting in an order soon.

Do yourself a favor ahead of time and have some nude Dr Mego bodies waiting for those guys. Seriously if youre going to be playing with a kid.

( havent bought any skeletons yet, looking forward to it, theyll be great armatures for sculptures. ANYTHING to get the porportions correct)

I think there's way too much BASHING on these guys about bodies and quality. I have bought Hundreds of dollars of their stuff and other than a few issues that were fixed without hassle, I've never had a problem. I had a DM soldier leg pop off the other day and I didn't start a thread or anything....their toys.

The later the release, the better the parts. The earliest bodies were REALLY bad; the last few were almost as good as an original Mego. I've never had a problem with any colour other than caucasian.... usually the left foot and/or right hand. But you can get 'em cheap; and I do so many customs it's no prob to cast a new foot or hand. (If you DON'T make customs it's more of a problem....)

I have a lot of CTVT reissues , and I have switched them all over DM bodies. Problem immediately solved. I just hate the fact it cost more for the figure than it should have. I will order here and there but I most order parts from Paul.

Tony always sends me free replacements when I do have a problem, but I'm considerate enough to wait till my next order before I tell them so they dont have to pay to ship out a hand. Astro...I'd get them whatever they want from CTVT or let them buy parts and build what they want. I made a speed racer the other day just with parts.

Anthony IS the wrestling guy....Unless there are 2 Tony's there. He owns the company (formerly Figures toy company). He used to run it out of here in RI, I went to high school with the guy, until I realized that he'd changed the name of the company, and moved it to Fla, I didn't put 2+2 together.

From back when I knew him,his moods are very hot and cold, so one time you may have called on an off day and then later when he calmed down he realized he'd been less than nice, made sure to make up for it. I keep my CTVT figs packaged, so I wouldn't be able to comment on the quallity of the pieces when handleing them.

Still interesting that he keeps on top of the day to day, even taking mail orders himself still. Kinda cool that he remains that hands on with it.

                            Cheers

There are actually 2 Tony's and yes that one is still moody as they come. Ask for the employee Tony.

I usually use CTVT for accessories. Sometimes for the heads, the bodies are in rough shape. Lately I've been using them for test pieces so I don't have to damage my nicer figures. They also make great body parts for zombie attacks.
