ahi wolfman first issue? anyone seen or have this version

hi all i picked up this ahi wolfman and im well impressed with it...

from what i can make out its first issue..with the tougher head not squashy rubber... it has moulded hair on its feet arms and upper torso..also it has a fantastic looking top....with a type of velvet sewn onto it....this is factory done an has not been altered or put on by its original owner...still has its original rope belt firmly tied at the waist...

anyone seen this variant? or have any knowledge on it? heres the pics

The top is the same one that the ahi gorilla soldier ape wears. I have the first issue wolfman with the hairy body and detailed feet in a regular wolfman suit. Might of came that way since ahi made both.

thanks for the help on that..im pretty sure he was issued out in this top then... as i have the issue one franky from the same guy and they had been kept safe in the loft together for years.... maybe it was put on it at the end of the line?

I have two AHI Wolfman's, but I have never seen one with that top before, even from extensive collectors of the line. Interesting!

I really like the way your Wolfman looks. I've never seen clothing like that either. Congrats on scoring this version.

maybe? but it came out of the same loft together with an issue one franky in fantastic unplayed with condition..and the belt on wolfy looks like its never been opened or removed.... i suppose its something that im not going to ever find out :(

I think the person to ask here on the Museum is ramsey 37. George knows his stuff when it comes to the Monsters figures. Might want to PM him here on the Musuem. I have to say, I have had a lot of AHI's and I've never seen hands like that on a Wolfman...or the top that he's wearing. Could definitely be an end of the line thing where they basically put whatever is in the factory on the figure and ship him out...could be a factory error too. Cool looking figure.

True... If it's AHI he's either owned it, tried to own it, or at least seen it...he should chime in.
