Here it is!! The brand new Ironman 8" Figure!

Well, I know some people were getting excited about that new Ironman 8" movie figure that came out so I decided to be the first to break down and snag one off eBay.

Personally, he is a little too skinny. Maybe later I may add several sculpty pieces after consulting one of my favorite sculptors on here to "beef him up"

Otherwise here is the new Ironman 8" figure compared to classic Ironman and Captain America. Sorry about my Ultron custom in the mix, he was on the table....just ignore him.

Standing side by side the Mego Ironman:
I am not impressed. I think it was Joe or somebody that mentioned that the new figure looked a little skinny. Well, the proof is in the pudding.

Sorry about my Ultron getting in this shot. If you like what you see on my protoype here is the link

The scale is very good although the style is different. However, he looks pretty stiff. What kind of articulation does he have?

I will probably pick him up if I ever see him locally.

Worthless piece of crap if you ask me and waaaayyyyyyyyyy too skinny. There's supposed to be a real person inside that armor. How skinny would that guy be to fit in there. Anorexic Ironman?

Exactly! He'd have to be a teenager about maybe thirteen years old to fit into something like that. Like the old artists of Ironman in the 70s used to do this.
I think I am going to add sculpty to him in the future and bulk him up like I do my Mego bodies that need to be beefed up.

Standing next to those Megos he looks more like Iron Boy.

And it looks like he only has swivel shoulders and hips.

Definitely worth taking a knife to and salvaging as much as possible for some kind of Mego kitbash, but not so good.

It's too bad, if he'd been scaled up a half inch in all dimensions, he'd be great looking.

Thanks for taking the hit, Wrathdemon! Definitely waiting until I see this at retail.

I think it would be cool to see him lying flat next to the mego one. I can see a little in front , a little behind action perspective.

Maybe theyll make him in Mark 2 and all silver That would make lots of good custom Robot fodder.

I like him! I think he looks great...although he does not look like he's got much articulation. A little beefier would have been better and more realistic. He's a little stylized but I like it.

Now you've got me thinking...can't you just sculpt Ironman armor over a regular Mego body?

Why bother? It's a modern toy, that doesn't fit in with mego style anyway, and you already have a sweet mego-type ironman.

I'd leave him as is or rob the hands and maybe his feet, and get em cast up for customs. Possible the head but everything else about him is too skinny. Like Meule said, a person couldn't fit inside that thing unless he were twig-boy.

Sure he isn't perfect, and maybe a bit to skinny...but what excites me is the fact that Marvel is starting to dabble in the 8" scale. Maybe they'll keep going...maybe they'll improve?

They already have one advantage over the Mattel Figures...they can stand on their own, and don't come apart while still in the Package.

How can you compare these? One is a retro Megolike figure, the other is a modern figure that has nothing to do with Megos and is way too skinny.
