My suggestion for a ReMego (or set of five)

    Devo!

They have a new album coming soon, their first in 20 years. Now might be a good time for some enterprising company to try to get the license.

They could do one figure or a set of five, and pick from a number of different outfits. The easiest would probably be the yellow radiation suits with the red energy domes, but I could also see the sleeveless turtlenecks or the plastic clamp-on pompadours.

I can be the only one that wants a Mego scale figure with an energy dome.

If Scott Ian can get a figure, Devo should be able to, too.

I'm all over this. Missed the two shows they did here in Seattle but from what I heard from friends that went, the opening show of the tour was something to behold.
      These guys are amazing!!!
I too want a Mego size energy dome and dress them up like in the "Whip It" video. WOO HOO!!

Heck even throw in a Wierd Al "Dare to be Stupid" variant figure.

Funny, that Freedom of Choice album adorns my wall with some other classic albums. For a band that only had a couple of top level hits they had an enormous following world wide. Most of the original members have had a large influence on music in general as producers, writers, and sound engineers right up until today. Mark Mothersbaugh was probably the best known for writing the music heard on shows like Pee Wee's Playhouse and Rugrats, though other members have been tied to bands like RUSH and the Foo Fighters. They're also tightly associated with the video game industry doing background music for video games. They performed in Boston a couple of years ago and still do live stuff. Check Youtube for Satisfaction and Secret Agent Man. Both remakes they did way back when, older songs with a new wave vibe.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I don't know, I don't get the appeal of musical action figures. Kiss, okay, fine - I'd love 8" versions of them because they look 70s and cool, but I don't consider myself a fan. I'm going to get the Anthrax guy figure because he looks like a badash and the figure could serve as a fine bad guy. But I'm not an Anthrax fan.

I was never into Devo - I only know two of their songs, and I was a guitar band guy and they were new wave.

Did these (inaction) figures sell well?

I'm not sure they sold all that well, but I did see them in stores several times. I didn't pick them up because I didn't care for the sculpt. An 8" Mego-like version would be a no-brainer for me, though, unless it was absolutely terrible.

                          DEVO always ROCKED..!

'Through Being Cool' and 'Workin' in a Coal Mine' were my favorite later-period songs.

Devo is on the "Heavy Metal" soundtrack. I'd like some Devo figures. And Kiss. And Slayer.

                              Devo is okay.

What amazes me is that Mego didn't release a version of The Village People, back in the 70's.
