    1:9 Scale '89 Movie Batmobile

Wasn't sure where to drop this, but since I couldn't find any other info, I thought I'd share.

A recent joint venture between Hollywood Collectors Gallery Japan & Toynami will be bringing us a set of studio reproductions from the '89 Tim Burton directed Batman film.

They have 4 products lined up, the first two being replicas of the cowl worn by Keaton, and the spear gun used in the film. The second batch of items to be offered is where it gets interesting.

The 2 other planed items are reproductions of the studio models for the Batwing and Batmobile. The latter of which will be very close to 1:9 scale, so it should be able to fit perfectly in with our Mego figures.

Here's a link to more info, and an image to show how massive this thing will be: Statue Forum - Toynami Batmobile

I'm sure this thing will have a hefty price tag on it too...

Yeah, that's definitely cool, but I think you're right about that price tag. Probably won't fit into my budget

Wow! I hope you're right and it fits Megos. That thing is stunning. Any idea how much the Batmobile would cost? The 1:6 scale Hot Toys Batmobile was in the $500 range.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

if I had to guess, I'd probably say it's going to be in the 2500 dollar range. I might be way off, but usually anytime the slap the words (authentic / licensed / studio) on there, it tends to jump up into the 4 digits.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That's about $2100 out of my price range. We'll keep an open mind and maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. Thx for posting the pix!

My back-up plan is for the Mattel/EMCE figures to be so wildly successful that they make a respectable Batmobile.

That Batmobile was the only thing I liked about the Burton Movies.

That's harsh, too harsh really. I really liked the Burton Batman movies, Keaton did a good job. So what if he was a little too short, he portrayed a great Batman
