    CTVT Knights

I had thought about getting a set of ctvt knights, and switching out the bodies with mego, or some other repro body, but I seem to remember someone saying that the torso armour isn't removable. Is that true? if so, does anybody know of a way around this problem?

Since you brought it up, I decided to try with one of the spares I have....

The armor on the knights are extremely hard and sloppily glued at the seams. But, once you get a crack started in the glue, it seems to pry apart easily enough.

The suit has been made with these repro bodies in mind, when you slip it onto a mego, the legs are a bit tight and short, so the material pulls away from the crotch, otherwise it would fit fine. Ripping out the seam at the toes might allow the suit to fit a bit better, but might make it more difficult to get the boots on.
    ALL HAIL MING!

Those rubbery heads really suck. Seek out and get a good set of Mego heads to go with them. You will not be sorry.

I ordered a set of Knights. I had a problem getting the armor off of my Ivanhoe because of the yellow spike on his chest was glued to the fabric. The fabric tore. I had no problems with getting the armor off of the other knights though.

I scored a complete set of CTVT Western, Pirates, Knights and Robin Hood Figures MIB for $90 shipped a fews years back. They really are well done, just crappy bodies. One day I will swap out the bodies.

I gave my son a set and the cheap plastic they use on the armor on top of sloppy gluing job made for a short lifespan.

The knights I gave my nephew didn't fare too well... I bought a set with the thought of swapping the armour in mind, but it doesn't come off very easily and I felt like I would break it trying.
