Hunter Dan (and even Ann) fit this a bit better than Megos. Sounds like you got a good deal price wise on this. Up here they never seem to sell for less than 20 bucks on sale.Same with the figures, who you can find occasionally for about 15 dollars a piece, but usually retail between 20 and 25 dollars.

Ol' Dan is pretty popular around Alberta, but then I'm in the heart of hunting and fishing country. Lots of folks use ATV's or snowmobiles, to hunt up here. You need them to get into some places, as there arent any roads.

I spoke to the creator/owner of this line once, and he told me a pickup was in the design stages as well. I recall suggesting he look at Big Jims Safari Truck as a reference point. I still havent seen a truck, so I'm assuming the idea was dropped. He also mentioned a 3 3/4" line that I've never seen, although Bass Pro Shops and Wal Mart up here have a similar themed 3 3/4" line of figures with vehicles out up here.....might be by the Hunter Dan folks?? (Anybody know for sure?)

He actually based the original idea for Dan off of the old Marx Johnny West line, and used his childhood Johnny (or was it Capt. Maddox??) as the prototype..which may be why the first wave was 12"? I never saw those....could you be mixing them up with the Ertl figures Mark?

I assume cost drove him to the Mego scale. The bodies are pretty good (except for the short forearms and that awful head sculpt). The clothes and gear are EXCELLENT and fit Megos great!

Hunter Ann is ok, but she is pretty....err...how can I put this?...Shapeless. Her legs, arms, and hips have little definition to them. She has a mighty big noggin' too. As a whole shes ok, but could be better.

Thanks Captain. I did see a smaller scalr Hunter Dan line, but I don't believe it was 3 3/4, looked a bit like 4 inches plus, but I didn't pay much attention to it.
