    Toy Island Figures?

Found these catalogs yesterday and was surprised how many 7" figures Toy Island was putting out in the early 90s. Much of this saw release in the UK and Europe and is pretty hard to find.

I have pages and pages of playsets, figure lines etc that I'll send over the megolike but for now check these out, Monsters, Pirates and Cowboys. Sound Familiar?

Somewhere I've seen auction pictures of the monsters and Toy Island ran them in their catalog for four years (unlike any other line) so they were sold somewhere. I just have never seen an opportunity to purchase them either.

I had a real cool guy who had a molded on gas mask. I've looked off and on for years for another. I occasionally find a cowboy, but that's it. Toy Island EBay searches are a bear to wade through.

i have the cowboys and pirates. Toy island made 7 inch figures in the 80's but with molded on outfits the problems with the figures in the BIG hole in the back of the clothing for the voice/sound effects box and buttons .
great accessories , and they made a 8 inch robo cops that were nice , I got AJ with Robo's jet pack.

Toy Island didn't make any toys in the 1980s, they were formed in 1992.

                        Hmmmm....

Must.... have.... monsters..... Or repros on 8" Mego bodies anyhoo. The talking feature is neat. (I haven't figured out how to do that yet; but I DO have some designs with flashing eyes that almost work.)

That Howler totally rules! Looks like a Polish movie poster come to life. (FUN FACT: Poland seemed to be the home of strange movie posters back in the 70's and 80's....)

I love those monsters. thanks for sharing. I've got one of the pirates and have a certain fondness for it. Didn't they also make a 9" robocop figure?

Yeah, around the mid 90s they went nuts with the Robocop, Terminator and Rambo licenses. They made 6", 9" and 12" Robocops and Terminators under their "America's Greatest Superheroes" (!) brand. At least in the catalog they call it that.
