I live in RI and went down to CTVT's old office and they have moved, Now located in Tampa Fla. I guess I'll have to pay for shipping now instead of picking up stuff at their office.

That musta been cool,to walk into a place like this,.. & buy whatnot ...., I have always only gotten everything from parts, to figures to, whatever in the mail. It's all I know.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
always trading for Hot Toys Figures . -

The move had to be associated with the wrestling side of the company. It's much larger than the figure side. Coulda moved the toy side to my cellar. Wonder if it chnged hands or just moved. It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

Ah, but here you fall into the whole price versus quality thing.
Sure, CTVT was cheaper in terms of pricing... but they were also cheaper in terms of quality.
Flimsy boots that split easily may be good for shelf display, but Dr Mego's boots withstand actual CHILDREN!
Heck, even the flimsy CTVT bodies couldn't withstand DISPLAY much less children playing!
We're an aging group. Who will take up the hobby when we're gone? The children of today, but only if they have the same fond memories of playing with the stuff that we do.
I say, let them stick to wrestling. They produce quality belts, that's their strength.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But they DID get better in a hurry. The last few runs, especially the multicoloured ones were very good. The glow bodies were almost as good as a Mego. The only problem was the soft metal used ofr the riggings: the hooks would bend and result in the infamous pee-pee dance stance. I even have a few FEMALE bodies that are fine.
But yeah; their FIRST runs were horrible, and scared a lot of folks off.

I spend at least 80 to hundreds of bucks a month sometimes on their spare stuff. It might be cheap stuff but the fast shipping won me over. I am a sucker for my stuff getting here as soon as I order it. I'll drop money on anything like that.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I have a couple of teensy complaints:
The female heads are way too big for the bodies. I got a Maya figure, and her head just bobbles on the neck post, and is constantly falling off.
The tan trousers of the space outfit are too tight going up over the thighs, and real tight in the waist.
The male heads are a bit too squish, and the hats don't fit them due to the bigness of the hair.
Other than that, everything is well sewn, the rooting job on the head is very nice, and their delivery time is super quick.JediJaidaComment

I actually just got a big order in the mail from CTVT and the stuff really wasn't that bad. I totally agree that the glow body is awesome. It's pure gold in my opinion. As far as the Re-Mego division of their company being defunct, is that true?Leader of the Hunt: I don't understand these animal psychologists. What is Dr. Zira trying to prove?
