What character options should Mattel make?

Ok, we all have or want lists for mattel to make or think they should make. most of us old fogies want to complete a Justice League/Superfriends set, suppose they make Batman/Joker Flash/Capt Cold in the second set
but what if say by the 3 rd set they make Wonder Woman/Cheetah but don't make a Hawkman or J'onn J'onzz.

Instead they Make the current Mr Terrific/Kobra or Stargirl/her enemy or
Power Girl/ Ultar humanite?

Should Mattel decide to mix in characters from the curent DC universe how well will you accept and collect those?

I for my part will be glad to not make more customs and would get all of the characters i like from 1940's all the way through to the Legion. i may skip some i don't care for but will try to support all i can for the rest.

I really doubt we will see any modern characters, especially in the first year or so. If we do I don't have any interest in them.

My initial thinking is they want to see how the hero/villian variety sells. If they see consumers picking up the villians at the same rate as the heroes then I think they'll stay on track to continue that line. If it looks like the tendency is only to snatch the heroes, then they may switch to an all hero line from that point on.

I have to admit that I'm not as big on having a 1to1 Villain to hero ratio. I would rather have more obscure heroes than too many villains. Oh and always the JSA--especially Hourman--though I would imagine his cowl could be tricky...

I personally would prefer they stick to the 70's era characters. The DCIC and DCUC lines can cover the others.

If Mattel wants to capitalize on their market of old farts like us, they'll stick with the 70's

I haven't bought a comicbook in 15 years, so any newer characters will be strangers.

Plus, making the complete SuperFriends "is" what we want....don't make it sound like a bad thing.

I would love to have a complete set of Superfriends and Superfoes and I know my son would too. If they make them, I will buy them all. I will buy every one simply to support the line, but I hope they at least focus on the classic 70's characters first. My son Davey loves the Superfriends probably more than I did when I was a kid and I was a Superfriends maniac.

I just want them to come out so I can buy them. Would I buy a modern character if they made it? Maybe. Would I buy all of the Superfriends and Superfoes from the cartoon? Definitely. Two of every one at least. Even Zan and Jayna and that crazy monkey. Even Wendy and Marvin and that crazy dog. Every character from the original show all the way up to "Galactic Guardians". Why? I'm a freaking Superfriends maniac.

If Mattel makes all the characters from these shows, I will collect them all. Twice.

I would love to see a Jay and Barry Flash combo rather than something like Flash and Capt. Cold. I would also like to see John Stewart. (Not the comedian). lol.

I would love to see the All-star Squadron. That pretty well covers all the golden age characters.

Now there is a thought i can agree with, the whole Squadron! that's about 60 Characters, so it should keep mattel busy for awhile. I really want to see Legionnaires as well, on thier Cockrum/Grell outfits (except Cosmic Boy) Of courese all JLA and Titans from the 70-80's. and the exclusives should be Apache Chief, Samurai and Black Vulcan.
