Has anyone seen these Martian Chronicles mego like figures . My Friend got a case of these at a flea market and is wondering if I want them. To be honest I am not Familiar with these at all . What should I do ?

Yeah - I'm sure lots of folks on the board would be interested. These are pretty cool, but in my opinion the bodies are awful. I transferred the one style I have over to a mego T2 and never looked back. As I understand it there were three different styles of martian in face mask, with just the variations of mask design and color of the robe trim being the difference between them (the robe is a pattern bootleg of ST Keeper's in a similar, rougher fabric).

One day I'd like to get the other two styles I don't have - if it turns out your friend has spares let us know - I'm sure there's a market here. In any event I'd like to see pictures of the other styles as I haven't seen them up close.

And I'd LOVE a set of 'em... real, repro or whatever. Just need the heads. I think I remember eading an interview with one of the guys who designed them and he said they figured folks would just pop the heads off and put them on Mego bodies anyway.

Okay everyone so far not so good. My Buddy found out what these are worth. He is actually holding on to the case, and thinks he is either keeping them for awhile or listing them individually on ebay. When everyone mentioned jump on these I guess that made realize I should grab these and share the wealth. If I get another crack at them I will let everyone know. Sort of a bummer . Something told me when he said paypal him $200.00 right there and he would ship within an hour I should have done it. Instead I wanted to check on these.

Sadly it is. I am still bugging the ever living out of him to send them this way. He had no idea the value of these either. When I said let me get back to you, he did some digging and found out . The said part is he offered them to me for $200.00 at first now he wants $700.00 for the case , but not sure when he will part with them.

I 'm thinking it's more likely he's got a connection that has them, and he was gauging the value and if I jumped at $ 200, he would have countered to make some more off what he is getting them for. I honestly not sure he actually has them in hand. He lives in MA and me FL so I cannot visbily confirm. Although he's never not come through. Just have to wait and see I guess as to what actually happens. He did say if he lists on Ebay individually he would let me know.

If he does I post something under Auction Watch so my peeps here will get a crack at them.
