                hi all,

                thanks for the welcome,

STRETCHANDRO I am not sure if i own the only example ? ,some one must have some info about these lincoln figures or indeed own a figure I guess.

I live in the uk , so this poses the question whether they were only avaialble in the uk ?

It will be interesting to see if any one else has any boxed figures from this range.

I remember seeing hanging racks of all the LINCOLN MONSTERS in cheap toy shops back in the 1970's ,

BUT never saw MR ROCK (was he ever available in the uk?),

                  Hi RTB,

Welcome to the Museum and thanks for sharing those items, very cool and quite a discovery!

I've been interested in Lincoln Toys for a few years but haven't seen the Evel Knievel before, although others may have.

You probably know this already but Lincoln was a New Zealand based company that had some cool licenses in the 60's including Batman, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlett. Sometime around 1970 however they moved production from NZ to Hong Kong and subsequently became better known for producing very cheap toys including thinly veiled bootleg action figures.

You seem to have a bunch of cool Lincoln toys, are they from the same old stock find? I wonder if the UK distributer went belly up at some stage.

                  Cheers!

                    Hi Will,

thanks for the welcome, I am aware of Lincoln's History,

The only lincoln figures i own are the Phantom , Dracula (both carded)

& the 2 Thrill seekers figures (boxed evil & loose sky diver).

(i have a few boxed lincoln battery operated tin toys)

                    What figs do you have?

                    cheers

                        Hey Mate,

Those four figures alone comprise an awesome collection, congrats :-)

I have a couple of loose incomplete monsters somewhere (I think), but I've primarily gone after the Lincoln 60's licensed stuff. I've managed to pick up a Bat Plane (Sea Bat), Batman water-pistol and "Space Probe" MOC (plus a shipping case), a couple of the Thunderbird models boxed incomplete and two of the three Captain Scarlett vehicles MOC. I have a few of the battery operated items and a catalogue or two, but that's about it.

I just googled Lincoln (Hadn't done that for a while) and Brian's Plaid Stallions has the best info on the company I've seen so far, Good work PS!

                        Cheers,
                        Will

Hi and welcome, it was my snipe that determined what you paid for them in last week's auction. I should have set my snipe a little higher.

I don't know much about them but was immediately drawn to them once I saw them early on in the life of the auction. I'm always scouring for odd Mego-like stuff like that.

                            Say;

Wasn't there a "Thrill Seekers" tv show during the early 70's? I wonder if this was meant to capitalize on that, too.

The Chuck Conners show, that's right, this had to factor.
