So you will be at the NY Comicon? I believe I will be also. Always like convention exclusives. Could be an all out Mego love fest in NY in February. Better iron my Yankees Suck shirt if I'm goin to NY!!!
When I am grown to man's estate,
I shall be very proud and great.
And tell the other girls and boys,
not to meddle with my toys.

Wow...thanks for the support everybody! It makes Me happy that You Guys like what We're doing! It's really exciting to go from making Customs & Prototypes...to see things actually being made in China...Man, what a THRILL!
I really hope to see this line continue...because Jay has so MANY MORE great Characters that We could do!
I already told you how I feel about these last night Dane. I love the jacket version. Very snazzy. The different eras lends itself to many a figure based on one character. Very cool stuff.
I love Blackhawk!
and its probably obvious that Blackhawk is a big influence on CX.
When i got the lucky oppurtunity to ask Howard Chaykin for a pin up-
I had to have him do CX. His version of Blackhawk is amazing- and The Scorpion and Ironwolf were big influences.
You can see his pin up in issue 1 of Capt'n Eli.
That's one of the reasons i didnt give Golden Age CX a jacket initially-
i wanted a connection- but not a total resemblance
but later-when i was developing a pulp CX(he became operational in 1938)
i gave him a jacket:
id love to make this one -but you can see theres a lot of tailoring.
The Golden Age CX with white turtleneck is actually how Golden Age CX appears in print. The grey bearded CX is how he appears in print within the regular Capt'n Eli continuity.
1960's "Renegade" Cx is yet to appear in print-- but soon
The jacketed 1950's "Cold War" CX will be featured in a pulp prose story writen by Michael Thomas and illustrated by me. It will be available for FREE at
the Capt'n Eli website when the CX Action Figure debuts in December.
just a reminder-- There will be a limited edition of the figure with jacket for NY Comicon AND
DR. MEGO will be able to take orders on just the jacket.
Thanks to Everbody for your comments and interest!
It looks like NY Comicon is going to be a good fun time. I am working on a little special event to be part of the show - it's earlier next year - Feb. 6-8 2009, make your travel plans now.
