The Newest Wave Announcement for the 50th Mego World's Greatest Super-Heroes

The newest wave of Mego figures was somewhat unceremoniously announced yesterday and that surprise was full of surprises, especially in the Super Hero section.

While we have not been granted images of the figures themselves (Mego did send us Two-Face's box a few months ago), I find it interesting that this mix is all characters that never made the cut in the original lineup.

The last few waves of 50th World's Greatest Superheroes have mainly been reproductions of the original figures, and it will be interesting to see the reaction to this fantasy figure launch.

I've got the NECA but I am a huge fan of Chase, so I may buy one. I'd like them to make Eddy.

Excellent! Although I'd really like to see Hawkman and some females in the line.

I think females will come but they're delayed because of body tooling. It's something of a shame because it would be fun if they were peppered into waves.

I'm practically praying for that. I think the sculptors can do it--if DC and/or Mego's "development team" lets them.

I have the first NECA Clark in the Santa coat, but would love to see how Mego ...megofies Clark in their own style.

Very excited about the DC announcements! I've got all the FTC versions except Deadman, but I can't wait to see Mego's take on these characters. And I do hope they'll go for a 70s look. I would also appreciate it a lot if Mego could fix some of the issues that have been discussed in these forums. No more drooping eyes, please!

I haven't noticed any face shlorping on the latest figures myself (though I admittedly haven't gotten every figure in the recent waves), so I'm thinking the days of drooping eyes may be behind us.
