This comment is promising from another thread

The body is the same as the first wave. The knees are still limited, though somehow I seem to get a little more bend out of them. Everything seems tight but not stuck. It is still interesting to me to see what parts are in the same mold as the hands on these bodies based on the parts of the joints that are green here.

With the knee issues for the 50th anniversary figures, has anyone tried transferring them over to a
type S body or would it work?

Anyword on a Partial refund or body exchange?

the factory evidently used an older version of the legs that didn't bend as far without anyone realizing. It wasn't discovered until the figures had shipped.
I read this earlier in the thread. I also read that rolling changes were planned, which got my hopes up. I guess I will still support but I'm not quite as enthusiastic as I was when the 50 ann. was announced.

I know someone here posted pics on how to fix the knee issue, but why should we have to since back in the day we didn’t need too.
    I agree with you 1000%...Sir.

How could this be possible....50 years later you don't have full articulation in the knee area. All of my 50th Anniv. figures are limited in the above mentioned (I had to dremel all of my 50th Anniv.figures). Extremely hard to fathom this "Foul-Up". I should ask Mego for a refund.

One seller on Amazon appears to have 50th Green Arrow in-stock. At $29.99, I won't be verifying this, but we may know more about the knee issue very soon.

I tried asking DR Mego on Facebook if Green Arrow & other figures will have better knee articulation. I haven't heard back. Does anyone have any info? It's weird that the main line has full articulation and the 50th anniversary line doesn't.
Here's a video showing the issue. Check it out starting at 4:40 or so.

Did mego ever improve on the knee issue? Did they ever implement the rolling changes mentioned upthread? Thanks!

These were the issues that I had with the FTC heads and eyes...Lopsided and slanted. I will be providing pictures soon. Incidentally, Mego should have "Beta testers" to test a sample figure for posing and thoroughly check the sample figure for any Errors/Malfunctions. I will do it for free if selected. I mean...like my buddy told me today, and I QUOTE..."ITS LIKE MEGO AND FTC SHARED THE SAME DEFECTIVE MOLDINGS FOR THEIR WGSH HEADS".
THere seems to be something odd going on in the factories with what I referred to as "face schlorp." With some of the previous heads, like Cavill Superman and Picard, one side of the face drooped down. I thought changing to the solid heads would fix that, but a couple of the newer solid heads had the same problem (like the Big Red Cheese). It has to be something in the molding process, but I have no idea what. Most of the heads are fine, but a few schlorp.

And again....4 year old me wants 50th anniversary figures.....
53 year old me says..."With these problems, no thank you."

    *sigh*

I hate 2 say it, but I almost wish for the 50th anniversary figures we had just gotten them "Captain Action Style"...a kit with a head, outfit, and at a reduced price
where we could just buy our bodies we wanted and assemble them ourselves.

For the few problems I've had with NuMego bodies ( broken hip pins, a Kris Monroe with two left arms, and the Black Dye staining everything),
I actually long for those days, at least those where livable / replaceable.

I just forwarded this email to ZLC. I'm really liking the bodies height and the heads being the same scale...However, the lack of knee bending to it's fullest extent...Is. a turn-off for me. Does anyone know if Mego plans to address this issue.....
    Dear, ZLC
Would love to know if Mego is fixing the issue with the knees not fully bending in their New 8" Superhero line. I bought the entire 50th Anniversary Mego Superhero line, and I had to dremel all of them. Wish they get resolve this ASAP.
